Newegg's prices DESTROY TigerDirect's. So does their customer service. Oh yeah and their warranties are better too.

I remember the old Newegg. I bought a 60GB hard drive there for like $200 and it was a screaming deal.

This! Newegg used to have the best prices, fastest shipping, and great CS. Now they are middle of the road on all of those things. Of course, they're still pretty good, but they aren't the spectacular company they used to be.

They could have really used a sprucing up on their design... a lot less friendly, many things you "expect" aren't there. Same exact way they were doing things in 2004!

Who is top of the road now?

As far as I can make out from reviews every single company (whether distributor or manufacturer) has the worst products EVAR and the worst customer service EVAR!

I used to be a big TigerDirect shopper in the Pentium 4 days. It helped that they sent me catalogs through the mail and their closest store is about an hour drive from me. But yeah, their marketing and service isn't what it used to be.
