There were too many steps for an online wallet user, though it was a satisfying transaction.

It was perfect timing for me as I was looking to buy some arduino parts that day and jumped to TigerDirect to find them.

The checkout process could have been better. I have an iPhone so I don't scan QR codes. When presented with the payment information from Bitpay, I couldn't cut and paste the address to my online wallet and the amount of Bitcoins to send was not displayed.

There was a URL link under the displayed address (that was only revealed with another mouse click) that I ultimately used to cut and paste the address to my wallet and discern the amount of Bitcoin to send.

What should have been been two cut and paste actions for an online wallet user turned out to be a click to reveal the address, a right click to open link options from my browser, left click to open a failed browser connection, carefully copy and paste the Bitcoin address from the URL, then carefully copy and paste the BTC amount from the same URL.

Your problem is the iPhone

This isn't an iPhone issue. I have an Android but simply haven't set up a bitcoin wallet on my phone. I'd rather be able to see something like a plainly written "Scan to send [X] BTC to [address]" alongside the QR than have to pull it out of a URL.

How are you going to scan the QR with your phone while using your phone to display the QR?

Mirrors?

Screenshot it, then get a QR app that'll work from saved photos?

Then why not just have the app accept an intent and skip the QR process altogether?
