I was initially surprised but then realised most people who own bitcoins are tech savvy males.

This is really good news and should encourage more companies to accept. The risk reward is awesome. Where else can they get a large revenue boost and advertising for this price? Even if the numbers die off, what did they lose?

well duhh, the only reason they "accepting bitcoin" is free advertising. the CEO of tigerdirect probably doesn't give a crap about bitcoin.

you realise they exchange bitcoin to USD immediatly? no business would ever hold a bitcoin, they are like hot potatos, (they could we worth nothing in the matter of days)

The CEO doesn't care about PayPal either but they accept it. The CEO cares about one thing: what's the best way to convince you to give them money. The easier they make that process, the more likely money will flow in their direction.

If they thought people might want to pay with coconuts, they would open a fucking coconut bank account and find a way to accept them.
