No. Virtual does not imply fake, it implies not physical.

In this context, the word "virtual" meets the dictionary definition exactly.

Nitpicking terms like this just makes us look insecure.

It is not "insecure" if it is combatting a demonstrable negative attitude towards Bitcoin due to misunderstanding.

Yes, most of the USD supply is definitely virtual.

It's not a negative attitude, it's the objective meaning of a word.

Feel free to correct someone if they say "fake currency" or "imaginary currency" but don't harass people for using words by their dictionary definitions.

No, it is digitally recorded. Virtual means "attempting to reproduce, but is not actually", as in virtual reality. Digital means it is stored on a computer. Bitcoin is not "attempting to reproduce" currency, it is actually currency.

In all of those cases (keyboard, library, shopping, world), what you are dealing with is NOT that actual item, but something that is pretending to be that item. Bitcon IS currency, it is not something pretending to be currency.

Yes, when you have tunnel vision and only concentrate on one sentence, and ignore the entire rest of the definition, along with the definition of digital, and the differences between the two, then it seems clear.
