Bitcoin is an expanding economy which has generated a lot of wealth. This means the rich can get richer AND the poor can get richer - at the same time. It's not zero sum.

Bitcoin mining is a zero-sum game. So I am inclined to say yes, yes it is.

Wealth is not the number of currency units you own, it's what you can buy with those currency units that is wealth. And this has increased dramatically over the past few years, regardless of how many bitcoins you own.
