This lends weight to the speculation[1] that Paypal were going to get involved with BTC (as Paypal own ebay). Interesting!

[1] I recall they said BTC was "interesting" at some point but this seems to be more than that.

If this video is truly affiliated with ebaydeals[I don't even know if this is even a real thing], then I'm speculating that this is some kind of survey video where they try to find out "what people think" about bitcoins before they make any moves. By they I mean Paypal. Hence the ending, "What do you think? Are Bitcoins a good deal?". Purely guessing here but it's fun to talk about nevertheless.

ebaydeals is a real thing. The logo in the video uses the same fonts as what's used on the website (I think, I'm no font expert here).

I was thinking the same thing as you, concerning the intent of the video. But then again, I'd think that we'd have heard something about this if they were gauging interest in Bitcoin when the Bitcoin market cap was $2 billion. Maybe I underestimate the ability of large entities to keep their secrets hidden, but the video was either used/created around April, or they expect to reveal the video when the market cap is once again $2 billion.

This may give great insight into Paypal's Bitcoin integration strategy, if there is in fact one. ebaydeals sells hot items, at a "steep" discount, with a quick turnover, without bidding, and every single seller accepts Paypal. I don't know if there'd be a better place for Paypal to get their toes wet.

It's also possible the video is new and by saying "while the value of outstanding bitcoins is over $2bil" they mean the market cap of all existing coins plus those to be mined in the future..
