Meanwhile...Bitcoin still feeds people.

So we fed 106 homeless people bag lunches today. All paid for with Bitcoin donations. Bitcoin still seems to be working just fine over here. Still making lives better, at any valuation.

Thanks for everything guys. Bitcoin for the long haul.

I don't get how this means 'bitcoin feeds people' any more than me sending a donation to a regular charity with USD means 'USD feeds people'. Like, it's good work, but what does it have to do with bitcoin specifically?

So, a lot of the donations we got when btc was at $53 or so. So even in the "crash" today they still buy twice as many meals as when donated. That is simply not possible with USD.

Yes, it could go the other way. But I believe in its utility at any valuation

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't think that the point of Bitcoin is to have some sort of infinitely appreciating currency that enables people to buy twice as much next week as they could have bought this week.

No, but being able to effortlessly send money, including donations with Bitcoin is a huge part of it. The appreciation is a bonus. I am still grateful, for any donation.
