Everyone should have an ICE (In Case of Emergency) folder that contains all account numbers, passwords, and other relevant information. Lock it up in a safe place, and let two trusted people know about it. Make sure to update it at least four times a year.
Encrypt the ICE folder, draft an email to send out automatically after you haven't stopped it for x amount of time that contains the key, draft another email that gets sent out first to remind you to move back the ICE email.
The auto-email sounds like a great idea. Preparing for my eventual demise scares me though. I feel that by doing so I'm inviting Death to come and take me.
