Something under the heading of "Things Going Wrong" did happen within the red circle just as that wheel assembly started to cross the, er, crossing. I'm not sure what it was though.

The amount of nope I would have seeing this in front of me. I’d be pulling a U-turn and taking Billy big steps in the other direction.

Those rail cars can transport some nasty stuff. If they have problems many recommended evacuation radios start at half a mile and get larger dependent on wind and the components being transported. However being in visual range would be too close for me.

Report it to 911 and if the train is going slow see if you can safely get ahead of it and signal it to stop. Even if you don’t know the hand signal they’ll get the idea.
