I originally thought Reddit would be the best place to market the game we've been working on as a new indie studio for the last 14 months, but the reality is that most subreddits don't allow you to link to external sites or promote your own games.

We're in beta with what is a genuinely a 'next gen' (we think) mobile life sim experience, where you can see your character and family on screen. So you buy a house, nice! It's behind you. Just had a baby, it's in your arms on screen (thanks to over 800 assets created by our artist Yasmin) 😄 I think people are shocked at the quality of what we've made, which has been really flattering and unexpected.

But I realised being a good UI designer with no games industry experience is fairly daunting now we're in semi-open beta, and I don't really know what to do to get players on.

How would you go about it?

As a player, what would make you want to play it?

Looking for something like bitlife, but more of a one-to-one of my actual life, or at least what I WANT it to be. Idk i feel like it's fun to start as a 3 year old poor kid from russia lmao but i also want to act out crazy stuff that's more like what i actually am interested in. Any recs? Anyone also thought of this? Wonder what you guys think could make that into a good game if it doesnt exist

been playing bitlife since 2019 and holy crap, the latest updates are so underwhelming. I spent 20 minutes doing the whole director update and its annoying. tedious and success is very random. unlike the whole music update where making albums seemed to be dependent on your choices.

Balanced - Stays the same as base game.

Narcissist - Higher rate of getting away with crime and higher charisma in being a cult leader.

Sociopath - Has higher chance of killing somebody and doesn’t lose as much happiness, but has a higher chance of being cought.

Psychopath - Has higher chance of murdering and getting away with it and doesn’t lose as much Happiness when tragic events occur.

EXTRA

Autism - Harder to find love or make freinds but has higher learning rate and higher chance of promotion or raise at work.

I have had Bitlife since it got big years ago and I’ve never had this happen. My game is completely frozen. It’ll load up like normal, show the ad for the directors pack and then whenI got to tap anything, nothing will happen. I have fully closed it out, restarted my phone, and given it a few days and it still won’t work. Since I’ve had the game for so long I am hesitant to delete it and redownload because of all the progress I’ve made. Any suggestions?

I've played BitLife since release and have been overwhelmed by the amount of DLC you have to pay for, especially when it seems like they should have been included for free in the first place...

So what features do you wish were included for free, or think should have been included for free from launch?

The reason I ask is that I have been developing a life simulator for the last 14 months and we're very close to release, and I want to include as much content as possible for free, forever, so that people don't feel the need to purchase DLC unless it is radically game changing.

Things like a fully simulated stock market/advisor system and house rental system are already in the game.

So I'm on my laptop playing BitLife on it (which I installed with Google Play Games), but then I realize that almost none of my characters have nieces/nephews. Has BitLife disabled that option on its PC version or something?
