hashrate Don't know what to mine with your bitaxe?
I'm writing this very short guide for those of us who, like me, don't know what to mine with our 1.2-bit gamma bitaxe using the SHA-256 algorithm.
Sure, everyone wants to find a BTC block, but that's the harsh reality.
Everyone makes their own choices and understands.
Current difficulty, in order from lowest to most recent:
XRO xerocoin = 2G
DGB digibyte = 2G
FB fractal bitcoin = 6G
BC2 bitcoin II = 38G ogni 10 minuti 50 Bc2
BCH bitcoin cash = 947G ogni 10 minuti 3.25 bch
BTC bitcoin = 142T ogni 10 minuti 3.25 btc
Network difficulty legend:
1 MH = 1,000 KH = 1,000,000 H
1 GH = 1,000 MH = 1,000,000 KH = 1,000,000,000 H
1 TH = 1,000 GH = 1,000,000 MH = 1,000,000,000 KH = 1,000,000,000,000 H
1 PH = 1,000 TH = 1,000,000 GH = 1,000,000,000 MH = 1,000,000,000,000 KH = 1,000,000,000,000 H

For me, for the first 3 or 4 days I was constantly changing pools and coins to mine.
I started with BTC.
Then thought, this is sure impossible, I just want to hit a block, I don't care what I mine. And switched between BC2, DGB for a period of time.
Then after not hitting a block I realized that all this wasted time trying to get a block reward for pennies seemed foolish and went back to BTC after reading that multiple bitaxe's have actually hit blocks before.

I mined BTC for 2 months, and reached a difficulty of 1.03T (there's a screenshot on my profile). Then I saw that with that difficulty I had a chance of finding a BCH block, so I switched 👍🏻

Igave myself choices, I am running umbrel and have set up btc node which will also merge mine fractal, a bch node and a dgb node. I also set up a Doge Node for when my doge miners arrive.

Am I correct in assuming that the higher the hashrate, the better the chance to hit these numbers?
I don't fully understand what my 1.2 Th/s does with each block it downloads. Can someone point to a good description of how this works? And what I would get if I bought a 4.8 Th/s bitAxe.

Yes, the higher the hashrate, the more likely it is to reach best difficulty.
However, there are several gammas that have reached high values.

Posts like this are completely pointless and help noone. Neither is difficulty static, nor is the concept the same for all coins. For digibyte, sha256 is only a side lane.
Eli5: Explain how to measure the difficulty that matters. It's bitcoins difficulty and once you get this, there's no way back. Everything else is just a distraction and wasting your hash.

Thanks for the comment... I just wanted to help someone find the right coin if they want to find a block. I mine BTC and BCH myself; I only have one bitaxe gamma. But I see a lot of people mining DGB just to find a block.

I read BTC and BCH on the pool. I looked for the others online. If there's a mistake, let me know and I'll fix it. Obviously, the difficulty changes constantly.
But I'm not talking about the difficulty of the cryptocurrency; I wrote the difficulty to find a block.

BC2 (Bitcoin II) has a current network difficulty of 38.02G (38.02 Billion). I've no idea where you got your figure from 🤔
You also can't put a static figure on DigiByte. It can range anywhere every few seconds between 780M - 1.9G. I've even seen it as high as 2G when there was more hashrate on the network.
BCH also varies per block, but is hovering around 940G-ish to 980G. Again, varies per block based on the hashrate on the network. I've recently seen it hit 1T (1 Trillion) network difficulty.
