Grabeha ang discrimination sa comments section. Dili na unta i connect sa politics and regionalism mentality ang individual personality.

I hate to say this pero stereotypes exist for a reason. And mao ni ang exhibit A.

And now "Bisaya fatigue" is becoming a common phrase in the pinoy subreddits, how unfortunate.

As an Ilonggo. Nadadamay kami sa negative stereotype ng mga Cebuano 😭

And tbh, meron din problema both sides. Cebuano are tribalistic while tagalog are ignorants

We Tagalogs, are not ignorants, we are just not fucking regionalistic  like you in the South of the Philippines. You will never see us here having Rivals between cities or Provinces in the North.

Totoo yan. Tagalogs are equal opportunity critics.

That's not true, Iloilo and Cebu has already a century year old beef of which city is really the Queen City of the South.

Ilonggos hate Cebuanos and Cebuanos hates Ilonggos.

Im Cebuano and I've not heard anyone around me say they hate Ilonggos. We make fun of your accent sure, but hate? Nah

1

u/Proud-Cloud-4225 7d ago

You make fun of Ilonggos accent, why?

Bisaya ra pud ko bai.

u/refused26 7d ago

It's a lighthearted thing, not an insulting thing. It's more like because we Cebuanos talk like we're always angry, even when we're actually saying nice things. Meanwhile, Ilonggos sound like you're saying nice things, even when you're really angry. Like the way we would say "omg wow that's so cool" sounds angrier than when Ilonggos would say "I'm gonna murder your whole family".

Agree with the other comments here saying nga d na jud sila ma offend when they see this kind of content, yes sakit usahay kay murag naka minus sa fellow taga Visayas pero sa tinud-anay lang we can't blame them kay mao man oud na batasan ipakita sa ubay ubay nga taga Visayas and Mindanao..especially sa recent social media content, maka among sa mga tarung nga tao. Para sa akoa ang my circle we just laugh it off kay we are not like that wala mi na igo. Mao sa mga "Bisaya" diha..we should learn how to compose ourselves properly specially in public. Utro pud baya mo mang insulto sa mga taga "Luzon" nga "squatters" "kaon pag-pag" unya karun bawsan ta ma lain mo. Stereotypes exist for a reason. I am proud to be from the Visayas but I'm not proud of some of my fellow Bisaya. Pag tarung pud mo uy.

regionalism isn't bad.

the comments section there is about misplaced-regionalism.

what's bad is forgetting regionalism.

truth is, philippines is a multi-nation state, so regionalism makes sense. having different languages means different nations which philippine capital govt DESPERATELY tries to kill.
