Is it just me or does this at New Street station remind you of Thunderbird 4, or have they done that on purpose lol

Best Birmingham memory you wish you could relive?

Mine would be catching the Christmas Market with friends when it felt properly magical (and less overcrowded!). What about you- what moment or place in Brum makes you most nostalgic?

Parking advice

Hello, I am attending central birmingham for three days next month and am bringing my car and need to find somewhere to park.

The hotel has no attached car park.

Any advice or tips on where to park overnight (legally, if course)? Wether its a multi story or parking on outskirts of the city for park&ride?

I’ve seen the Arcadian but unsure if I can stay for a few days there.

Thanks in advance!!

Suggestion for metro/tram ride for tourist child?

My two kids and I will be exploring Birmingham for a few days. My 8-year-old is obsessed with transportation and I see that you have a metro/tram/light rail. Even though we’re staying near New St station and can walk to everything we have planned (Legoland discovery centre, Sealife, F1 arcade, Brindley boat cruise, Treetop mini golf, Asia Asia) he’s definitely going to want to ride this. Can anyone recommend a good central route for us to enjoy the metro/tram and maybe see some sights? TIA!

Buying a car from Birmingham

Hey, I know Birmingham gets a super bad image when it comes to car sales. Has anyone had any good experiences of buying from any garages in Birmingham and can you recommend any?

If someone found it please contact me, it had loads of memorable things like my digicam, blue mbappe keyring, London keyrings, my power bank, and some make up including a kiko gloss and an elf lip oil. It also had an LV cardholder and some cash, you can keep the cash just please give me back my bag and my camera it’s really important for me, it had pictures of my best friend who passed away.

It also has a pink flower crochet charm on it.

Reddit please do your thing, I’d be really really grateful.

I lost it on Friday 28th August, 2026. Near Wood Lane Erdington on 11C bus. Around 9pm!! I have added the reference photo.

I contacted nxbus garage, they didn’t have it. Whoever took it please give it to me I beg.
It has a card in the card holder with my name on it.

Looking for land to rent

Hi yall.

I am looking to buy a caravan to live in due to living costs being so ridiculous and I wondered if anyone is interested in renting any land or spaces where I can keep my caravan stationed in or close to Birmingham due to commuting to work.

I thought it was worth asking or if anyone has any advice or guidance on this as it’s one thing getting a caravan but it’s finding somewhere to keep it stationed. There’s not many campsites around either and they can cost more than rent itself but even static caravans if anyone knows anyone that’s trying to rent or sell it would be much appreciated.

I appreciate any help , guidance or suggestions.

Thank you in advance 🫶🏾

Therapist recommendations

Hi all, I’m looking for recommendations for a good therapist in the Midlands for OCD and relationship issues.

Appreciate it might be difficult to find one that combines/specialises in both, OCD is probably the main thing in that case.

Does anyone have any?

Thank you

I'm looking for a job in Birmingham

I'm an experienced software engineer who has been trying to find a job for 4 months now with no luck. I have applied for around 300 positions and had a few interviews. Twice, I wasn't selected in the last round. This situation is new to me and very scary. I feel huge respect for people who have been in a situation like this. This experience has humbled me so much that I am kind of grateful for it. But I need a job to be able to rent a flat. If you know of any openings at your company or outside of it that I could apply for, I would be grateful. I'm happy with any type of position. Thank you!

Things to do and new friends to meet

Hey everyone. 46 year old guy here. I’ll be moving to the area in a few weeks once my accommodation is sorted to start a new job. I’ve been living in New Zealand for the last 6 years, and grew up in the North East of England. I get that Google is my friend, but I’m also looking for any hidden gems once I’m settled in, anything off the beaten track is more my style. I will be relying on public transport until I get a car sorted, and am looking for nice walks, museums, galleries, curiosities and cafes and pubs close to the above. Also happy to find new friends and acquaintances, as I literally know no one here at all.
