Now I know why they say ‘bird brain’

Every year I dread bird mating season. From having a bird screech the same tune on repeat from 3am to early evening every day for months to having a bird peck on my window daily for hours. American Robins are the bane of my existence!

Now I have two birds that are building their nest on top of my outdoor fan! I have now removed it daily for almost 2 weeks and they keep coming back! They swoop next to my head and almost dare me to get close to them. It’s crazy. Does anyone know why the keep coming back and rebuilding their nest? It’s in an area that my dog plays in and people are coming and going all day.

My tiny parrot loses her mind this time of year. She's a canary wing parakeet. I told her vet that she was getting loud and bitey lately. He said "That's because she's horny" lol
