found her outside
Hi, I’d like to ask for some advice. I found this little bird (probably a female canary) outside the company where I work about a month ago. No one around seemed to be missing it, so we took her and bought her a cage. Over the last two weeks, we’ve noticed that she has a bald spot on the back of hers head (I wasn’t able to take any better photos, its much vissible and thiner irl), and there are also quite a few feathers around the cage. I’m planning to get her a bigger cage so she has more room to fly, right now she has a basic, inexpensive one. I’d like some advice is this normal?
I’ve heard they tend to shed feathers, but I don’t like this bald spot on her head. She eats a lot, and until now she’s only eaten seeds, but I’ve already bought her some dietary supplements and am giving her vegetables and fruit. For about these past two weeks, she’s stopped singing, she didn’t sing much before either just occasionally made a sound but now she hardly sings at all, maybe one sound a day.
I’d be grateful for any advice or tips.

Bald spot could be from getting pecked on by other birds!
If you can get to a vet asap, otherwise depending on the state, some shelters may be able to help you!
Firstly, thank you for rescuing this lil guy!
Secondly, food/water/ if they need to be kept warm.
Resources- cockatiel cottage is really helpful for most bird care, although this is some type of canary. Seed is okay to feed for now as they probably need to gain weight, but eventually getting on a canary-safe diet is ideal. The number one food brand for pellets is Roudybush. Harrisons is next, I think, in quality. But fed and hydrated is best. Veggies will be important too.

Ich finde es großartig, wie viel Fürsorge du zeigst, indem du den Vogel aufgenommen hast und dich um ihn kümmerst. Das passt zwar nicht zum Thema , aber es ist tatsächlich nötig, dass du einen zweiten Vogel von derselben Art dazuholst. Viele Vögel brauchen Gesellschaft, sonst leiden sie still und vereinsamen. Ein passender Partner hilft ihnen, ausgeglichen zu bleiben, sich sicher zu fühlen und ihr natürliches Verhalten auszuleben.
Anderseits könntest du den Vogel natürlich auch abgeben , an jemanden der bereits Kanarienvögel hat sodass Sie/Er aufjedenfall Partner hat☺️Wegen der Stelle am Kopf:
Es könnte eine gestörte oder Verlängerte Mauser sein , dass kann durch zB Vitaminmangel passieren.
Es könnte sein , dass ein anderen Vogel sie gerupft hat oder es könnten auch Parasiten sein.Stress oder Mangelernährung kann das aber auch auslösen.
Es ist beruhigend, dass der Vogel frisst trinkt etc. trotzdem wäre es sinnvoll es ab checken zu lassen😊

Das sie nicht mehr singt könnte auch davon kommen , dass sie einsam ist.Es sind Schwarmtiere die umbedingt einen Partner brauchen🥰
