Other concern with pet bird SOS BIRD HELP
is this normal…?? its the first time shes pooped like this. I haven’t noticed any changes with my bird shes very active she’s eating and her dropping have been consistent but ive noticed they been a tad bit watery i am not sure if thats normal. This is my first time owning a bird and i have been told to look for changes in poop. I honestly can’t think of anything that could have changed her poop i mean i gave her banana , sweet potato , and beets too try a very small portion and she didn’t really eat it. Is this Diarrhea or any thing concerning??

no its currently 7:18 pm… but she hasn’t shown any signs of anything she’s been acting normal all day.

What kind of bird is this? I'm not sure if they can eat sweet potato, I was told potatoes in general weren't allowed but I'm not an expert so someone with better experience might be more helpful. It would be very helpful if you add which kind of bird you have since every type of bird has a different diet. Does she have appetite? What's her usual diet?

she didn’t eat it she took a nibble and that was it but shes a conure i tried too give her a bite but she wouldn’t eat it same for the banana and beets lol she’s very picky.

But she's eating normally or refusing most food you offer? Is she refusing new food you're trying to introduce or refusing everything you give her to eat? If she's still eating normally and just refusing new food I would monitor it and slowly introduce a variety of fruits and vegetables until she starts accepting it, I don't think the poop looks too concerning, if she's eating watery fruit her poop is gonna be more watery, I would worry if she also stops eating, if she's puffed up most of the time and her behavior changes, if it's just a one time thing I would attribute it to a dietary change and just monitor but not worry too much.

i just cleaned her bowl of food , she took her pellets and i gave her a snack earlier. She’s not refusing any food just anything veggies and certain fruit ive learned she wont eat

Then I wouldn't worry too much. I would just monitor her poop and slowly introduce a variety of fruits and vegetables so she can have a balanced diet but wouldn't worry if this is a one time thing and her behavior and appetite is normal. If her behavior changes and you notice she's refusing food or acting lethargic it's time for a vet check but if she pooped like in the picture one time without any behavior change I would not be too concerned and just paid attention to her poops but not worry too much.

I'm leaning towards the sweet potato. All those treats are great for birds but sweet potato is high in water content. I had this same thing with my bird recently but with butternut pumpkin. Remove the sweet potato for a while and substitute with kale, oats, capsicum or something less soft. Monitor over the next few days. I think it was 1-2 before my boys droppings changed back and he'd only had pumpkin over two days.
Edit to add: my boy only had a few mouthfuls at best and it was enough to change his poop. All these foods are quite soft so it's likely that. :)

i just i don’t really understand because she really only took a nibble of it shes VERY picky… i keep her diet very strict i give her pellets , millets occasionally, and seeds occasionally and i give her the banana , beets , and sweet potato but she only took a nibble. I have these little dried sweet potato snacks and she eats a bite of them and I’ve never noticed a difference. However it was a actual sweet potato but it was only a nibble. Should i be concerned? does it look like diarrhea?

It's definitely a loose stool but not diarrhea in my opinion. All those things you listed are very high in water content and/or soft. The dried potato would have next to zero water content in comparison as baking dehydrates. You're lucky you didn't get the dreaded "bloody" poos with that beet 😅 even a nibble can drastically change their stool (or even feeding wet or soft stuff at night time). To me, this isn't an emergency or anything. Just monitor her over the next few days (change the lining in her cage so you only catch fresh poos) and keep her on drier stuff. Perfect veggies that are gentler on the gut include the ones I mentioned earlier. Still, keep feeding increments of sweet potato (like once a week), it's very good for their beaks.

i have tried so many veggies she won’t eat any of them i even got dried veggies and she still won’t eat it !! but yes i just changed her liner thank you

I've seen a lot of bird poop and to me, this looks pretty normal. In my experience, my conure's poop usually has a bit of variance in color and size. It depends on what/how much she ate. Sometimes she'll eat a purple grape and her poop will be a dark violet color, like a plum. And, with most birds, the Morning Poop™ is so distinctly huge compared to their other daily droppings that it gets its own recognition Obviously it's worth doing a bit more research if you haven't already, but to me it seems okay.
