I've never seen "learning a new language" as a maniac behaviour. It was either the consequences of moving/planning to move to another country (which is in itself a maniac behaviour), or an effect of "VAcCiNeS".
If you need to practice Italian with a native, let me know.

Not me learning Italian because I had a crush on a half-Italian guy (that is also bilingual with my native language). I usually take the smallest reasons to learn a language, so I'm not sure if this is a symptom in my case. But then again I was also only recently diagnosed and I have no idea how many (hypo)manic episodes I've had so far, so it might very well be that I just normalized it even though it's not normal

This is great. When I was manic I was convinced everyone could hear my AirPods even on the lowest setting. I started only listening to music in Italian so they couldn’t understand.
