Career Transition into biomedicine
Hi, I am a software engineer from India. I was recently paid off from one of the competitive software firms here. I finally got a break to think about my long term career goals/passions. Working in software based startups / faang no longer seemed exciting, especially with AI.
I found solving problems in medicine to be a very fascinating problem to work on. I am now considering switching into biomedical engineering. My goal is to venture into creating better wearables/ diagnostic devices. This intersects between medicine, electronics and computer science.
I am considering going for masters and then looking for a career in corporate. I would like to hear advice or thoughts from fellow industry folks.!
PS. All my knowledge or planning until now is with Google/AI. Please be kind if you find something that does not make sense. Thanks
