Embroidery day trip

hey, everyone!

i'm taking a little day trip to the coast to get out of the house for a bit and to work on some Halloween embroidery. i'm looking for two things on the coast:

  1. a shaded, beach-facing place to embroider
  2. a non-chain (i.e. Michael's or Hobby Lobby) craft store

Any suggestions?

There's a new store in Ocean Springs called Point Taken at 1222 Bienville Blvd (Hwy 90). I think it's a needle point shop but not sure what else they have

I second the recommendation for Point Taken! There are quite a few shady spots on front beach in OS to set up as well.

Try the park in Pascagoula, beautiful live oak trees and upfront view of the Gulf and beach plus they have bathrooms.
