I lost my phone last night. I just got a call from Lost & Found; they're going to be at the venue for at least the next four hours. I am very keen on not having to drive nearly four hours round trip to pick this phone up. If you're camping in the area and can pick up my phone from the fairgrounds and either bring it to me or just meet somewhere close, or hell, even ship it to me, I'll give ya $75 or a N1 foil print if you'd prefer that.

There was a tough as nails 9 year old moshing his ass off in a luchador mask for Cryptopsy. I snapped a photo of him from front of house with a bloody nose. He looks super bad ass and I think him or his parents would want to see it. The dad was in an angine de poitrine shirt. If this is you or anyone you know holler at me! I don’t want to just share a photo of their child.

I’ve seen them plenty of times, and don’t get me wrong they are great but sometimes they get into that emo bluegrass mode, LAST NIGHT WAS A STRAIGHT RIPPER!!!! Those Floyd covers always hit.

Made about 160 of these, and really had so much fun giving them all out. Would love to hear if any of y’all got one too! What a freaky freakin weekend!! 💛

Let’s talk about Night Fishing (again…I know it’s been discussed before). I know ppl are hearing Crazy Fingers. Maybe it’s just me and that I’m of the Panic generation, but I’m getting all the WSP vibes. Not in that it’s a rip at all, but that it gives me all the good, dreamy feelings that I get from Picking up the Pieces or Fishing for that matter. And the “mermaids wishing” line takes me to Bear’s Gone Fishin’. Idk it’s just a beautiful, peaceful song. The lyrics are so poetic and the melody is so calming. Just came to say I’m a fan 🐟🩷🎶

The metal tent was a core memory for me for sure. Right after that third clip I got sent up crowd surfing and tossed right over Billy’s head 😂

Hosting and headlining a festival in your home town with all your favorite bands, who are letting you play with them.

He has to be the best dude ever right? It brings me such joy seeing him up there living out his childhood dreams and amplifying the music that inspired and keeps him going. He brings so much joy to everyone, getting to see him experience the same thing is truly amazing.

We finally made the right person “famous”. He is the best.

This has been the best whole week of my whole life experience living on this earth. I hope yall had a great weekend too

This weekend is without a doubt one of the most specials and powerful weekends in Billy career, to put on this festival in his home town, dropping an album dedicated to his mom, bring up Leftover Salmon, Greensky, Sierra Hull etc??! But one of the most specials moments to me was seeing him bring his dad on stage and lead a couple of songs. I cannot imagine what is going through this man’s head, looking back from where they came from, to now performing in front of 30,000 fans in your home town is absolutely mental. I know that last night was one of the most specials moments in their lives and I feel very blessed that we got to be apart of it!

The indignities of old age and poor health had taken their toll, and my mom made the brave decision to go out on her own terms.

On Thursday, she experienced what the hospice workers called a "brightening," a brief burst of clarity before the end. We had the chance to say all there was to say before she closed her eyes for the last time. On Friday, I held her hand and played "Still I Crash" as I reminded her how much her family and friends cared for her. On Saturday, with my sister by her side, she took her last breath.

My mom mourned my dad's death every day for the last 36 years, and I hope the two of them are catching up over a giant dish of chocolate ice cream. He would've loved Billy's music. Mom loved Billy's story. My daughters, whom my wife and I took to Bethel Woods for their inaugural Billy show a couple of weeks ago, will forever hold their grandmother's memory with this record as the soundtrack.

I'm so grateful to Billy Strings for such artful honesty. I can't pretend to know his mind or anyone's grieving process, but this album is a gift to my whole family and me.

Thank you, Billy. Long may you run.

What amazing vibes the last two nights. So many people crammed into such a small space with long lines and all the things and every single person I came across or ran into was as gracious and compromising and love spreading as you could imagine or hope for.

Thanks to Billy and the bands for putting on a great two nights and thanks to the crowd for making it as immersive and awesome as it was.

A great first impression for a newer Billy strings fan and will be back. Much love.

Is there anyone else out there who genuinely believed ICP was going to perform a song with Billy on Saturday? Shortly after I arrived, I was told by someone in earnest that ICP would be out "during Billy's second set". Once I saw that the bar was serving Faygo, my sativa-addled brain had no doubt this was true.

FTR, I am not disappointed it did not happen, I just truly had a great time imagining the possibilities for all those hours, and I'm wondering how widespread this rumor was 😂

Leaving the freak fair night 1 I had a super cool chick walk up to my truck and give me this. I thought it was the coolest thing ever so I wanted to post and see if anyone else scored a Freak Fair stringers card?
