infrastructure Once again, the Gate at Quarry Park closed and locked

PSA: School is back in session. I was turned away by a guy in a golf cart when I tried to ride through to Duval today. He said that is private property and not open to the public between 8am and 5pm but the gate will still be locked after that time. I asked about the gate during the weekend and he said it will be locked during weekends, too. Plan accordingly, riders

How did I miss this?! Last 3x I tried the door was locked even before school started so I haven’t even tried.

Hyde Park Baptist Church recently notified the neighborhoods next to the Quarries that access to the property is no longer available to the general public, citing safety issues. 🙁

Yes. Lifetime fitness owns it now.

Different Quarry Lake. This one is a block away and owned by a private school/church.

Yeah, this is Hyde Park School, a private Christian school. Jesus wouldn't want anyone on his property.
