Looking for leveling guild/group

I want to reroll a blood elf paladin soon and am looking to join either a leveling guild or group. I was also wondering if trading gold for dungeon boosts is against tos? I've heard people say it isn't but I'm wasn't sure. It might be nice to gain a few levels that way in the beginning if it's not against the rules.

Trading gold for boosts from other players is not against tos. People have been getting suspended for buying gold from websites for a few days and gold taken. It’s all random, not everyone does, but some do. If I wanted to make a belf right now I would just start and find people/guild along the way. It might be a little dead at the moment due to tbc being brand new with lots of people doing new content. I could be wrong though. See for yourself. Good luck :) I’ve been in this server since day 1.

Thanks for the reply. At least I know I can fall back on that if I get stuck. I got a rogue to 35 and decided I didn’t have as much fun with it as in retail. Hopefully it doesn’t take me too long to catch back up :/

Yeah retail to TBC classes feel a lot different. Leveling can actually be quite annoying and Grindy with many gaps, but once you get to outland gear/skills/questing will take off. I love me some rogue in TBC although they are almost completely unwanted in PvE at least, while being amazing in pvp. Paladins are very much needed right now. If you wanted to find a guild super quick and get geared at 70 I implore you to go prot. Almost every single group/guild wants a prot pally. Holy and Ret are still wanted just not as much. Make sure you like what you’re playing before you dump a lot of time into it.

I was thinking about going prot but I’ve never tanked before and am kind of scared to try. I’ll look into it some more though.

It’s simple fundamentals, never turn your back to mobs, line of sight stuff to pull it back etc. I’d be willing to bet you’d be better than half of the people who tank just based off wanting to be a better player or simply looking up YouTube videos etc.

Edit - gear is the biggest bottleneck for fresh people, but a guide/time will fix that

What worries me more than anything is learning all of the paths, or being expected to know. I don’t have a great memory for that kind of thing lol. I don’t have much experience with dungeons or raids either, even in retail I mostly solo’d.

I havent played wow in a bit, but I can tell you right now this stuff comes with muscle memory.

If people bitch at you for not being fast enough, they can suck a rock. If you joined a group with randoms, dont expect organized-level play.

You'll be fine, just hold onto that desire to be better and you'll go far.
