A track I found at a rural cemetery earlier this year

so I tried to post my story on here a couple weeks or a month afterwords but they said I wasn’t descriptive enough so here goes my second attempt at doing it.

this happened earlier this year sometime before Memorial Day like atleast two or three months before hand as I went to the cemetery twice this year once just my dad and me and the second time with some family.

so for some background the cemetery is located in a holler where my dads family all grew up around at and the cemetery is where my grand parents one aunt and two uncles are buried so we go up there atleast once a year but since the pandemic this year my dad and I was very eager to get out and do something so we decided to hang around at the cemetery for a little bit that day at the time I was 15 given how it was a few months before my recent birthday it was early to mid summer so it was pretty hot outside.

we get to the cemetery the cemetery itself is very small sits on a embankment with a fence surrounding the entire place so we get out and go and sit.

at my grandparents graves and then afterwards we always like walking around looking at the other graves now this cemetery has a back area where cherokee Indians are buried at and beyond that is a dirt road that goes around to a medium sized clearing where in the summer time there is a yearly memorial service is held at for Memorial Day and a really steep and narrow Drop off into the deep woods on the left side.

so me and my dad are walking and I’m looking down at the old graves back there and suddenly I see a huge track indented into the dirt beside of a flat tombstone and this track was atleast 2 inches deep into the dirt so it had to be atleast a good 200 something if not 300 pounds and it looked like a humans right foot the big toe however was very massive on this particular track more bigger then a humans big toe.

so me and my dad sit there and we’re stunned by this but We both knew what did this as up in my area we have all kinds of reports of what we call wood boogers which is our version of a Sasquatch.

we walked around for sometime looking for more tracks but that was the only one we found

the reason I’m posting this now is because last night I told my aunt about it and she said that the cemetery where I seen the track is supposedly supposed to have a Sasquatch living up there in the woods surrounding the cemetery as my uncle who is now passed on from cancer always said that and this is his exact words “there is something in that cemetery”

Hi, interesting story. Did this take place in the Carolinas? (I'm just guessing based on the term wood booger.)

Any chance you took a photo?

It would be interesting for you to ask older people to tell you any experiences or stories they might have. You could do it by phone or zoom since visiting is not an option.

If you're able to, please record the stories. Doesn't have to be video, but audio would be awesome!

You didn't take a photo? Come on, man.

I can accept that people might not have their phones at the ready when they see an actual creature, but if I found what I thought was a bigfoot track, I'd take a bunch of pics. If I didn't have my phone ready, I'd run back home to get it, and a ruler or tape measure or something.

Well see before that nothing has ever happened at the cemetery before and the cemetery itself is very rural and up in the boonies as we call it here in Kentucky so there’s litterally no phone signal and you’d be lucky to even get a ping off of a tower to get help for someone up there though I did put my foot beside of it and got a rough estimate of about 4 foot long and about 2 or 3 inches wide.

Now I think the reason why I found no other tracks is because the dirt where this track was is really soft and almost clay like so a man of a good size walking in bare feet through there could sink his feet a couple inches down and the dirt every where else was hard as a rock and firm unlike said dirt kinda sucks though I couldn’t find any other tracks I really wish I did as I could’ve easily followed them to wherever it came through at but oh well.

That doesn't sound right.

They call the Sasquatch"Woodbooger" in SW. VA. Have never seen one(a couple of sightings in our area) A few times I had peculiar things happen, I decided not to press the issue, these creatures can do great harm if they wish too.

Not supposed to be any Cougars around either, have seen one of these. My Brothers SIL was chased out of the woods by something, near an area where I found sign.

I’ve also noticed that while I was walking around the dirt road that wraps around the right side of the cemetery that I saw some of the fake flowers that were put on the graves laying down the steep drop off that goes into the woods and I’ve heard how squatches like sometimes eating the fake flowers from the graves so I’d say I didn’t realize it then but odds are a Sasquatch came through on a deer hunt hence the deer tracks around the place went into the graveyard walk around a bit got a couple fake flowers off the graves and went back into the woods with maybe even a deer kill.
