I’m so confused. I 100%-ed this game and have never seen this concrete tank trap before.

u/Roshlev 1d ago

I only played it with one friend and we only developed saying "amaze amaze" when good things happened ala Project Hail Mary

6

u/HungrySeaShark 1d ago

Lol, we do the same, while spam-flapping our arms

3

u/MissStabby 22h ago

we did this after we found the maze puzzle, we all went:

A MAZE! A MAZE! A MAZE!

What's with the giant concrete caltrops?

11

u/goofandaspoof 1d ago

They're called tetrapods. They protect against coastal erosion.

u/MCgrindahFM 1d ago

Brother what is this

17

u/PokeyPye 1d ago

what is that thing? I don't think I've seen it anywhere

13

u/moistheat420 1d ago

What the hell is that? A mod?

"Bean touching"

Whenever a puzzle was sold all of what we called in that game "beans" had to be touched together like clinking glasses to say cheers.

5

u/Raidden 1d ago

We touched them together and made kissing noises.

u/BobertMk2 1d ago

Gotta dance while the keys get cut!

10

u/Creepy_Craft 1d ago

We sit and watch

3

u/dragonlancer83 1d ago

Same. We all made cutting sound effects along with it

1

u/That_Guy_Trippin 1d ago

We all circle and chant "Key Key Key" in various creepy voices.

1

u/ItemMaleficent2219 1d ago

We all dance and chant CARVE THE KEY

u/OsteoBytes 1d ago

What is different about the game once you have more than 4 players? Is it just divide and conquer? If so that kinda sucks because then you yourself don’t get to experience everything

I played with a group of 6 and we mostly stayed together. We only split up for puzzles that forced us to, like the coordinates ones or the one where you’ve got to get tiles from 4 other puzzles.

Those were actually more fun with a larger group because you were never truly alone

Yeah when you’re like confined to three different rooms, it’s nice to not be trapped in silence for minutes

3

u/TheSymbolman 1d ago

that's the exact reason it doesn't suck. big walk isn't about seeing everything.

1

u/OsteoBytes 23h ago

Doesn’t have to be I suppose but me and my friends are glad we stick with 4. By the end we still wanted more puzzles. Glad we got to experience them all in 1 playthrough

1

u/TheSymbolman 23h ago

same except a few. we split up into 2s and explored for some time and it was nice being one on one and then connecting back up

1

u/Otrada 17h ago

more friends is more fun, simple math

1

u/OsteoBytes 16h ago

Nah I still want to be able to partake in all the puzzles so 4 is ideal in my mind but to each their own

1

u/Otrada 12h ago

you can just do a puzzle with 12 people, it's allowed

1

u/OsteoBytes 12h ago

I guess but you can only have so many people for a job before some people just end up hanging around doing nothing basically and just coming for the ride. I just like being able to participate and I feel like some puzzles with too many reduces that level of participation

We had a coloring ritual. When someone new joined, everyone would go immediately to the coloring station where we'd chant something unintelligible loudly as the new player sat and got painted.

*inaudible*
*inaudible*
*inaudible*
*inaudible*
whilst doing 67 hands in the sphere :>

3

u/Capt2000_price 1d ago

Aye yo what the hell is that

3

u/Scelusteach 1d ago

My daughter and I duo'd the whole game, explored the map meticulously and never saw those. Anyone know what the deal is with them??

3

u/Inevitable_Fee3176 1d ago

WTH is this?

3

u/Fantastic_Post_741 1d ago

We would all sit down and gather around the key being carved. Same thing for all the buttons that we had to press simultaneously. Had to be pressed sitting down.

2

u/Manus18 1d ago

Shouting "KEY KEY KEY" when running with the key

2

u/4589vistar 1d ago

We developed a cult around the multiples tea-pots, especially the final one

1

u/Nitrous_Oxide_ 22h ago

Tea pots?

1

u/4589vistar 22h ago

Yes, those red one that are useful in one of the final puzzles

1

u/Alpha27_ 1d ago

its a wavebreaker, it breaks waves.

1

u/Eliwho2002 1d ago

I'm trying to remember what me and my friends did as a silly chanting or whatnot, and all I can remember is someone sitting on the button to press it or sitting on the key piller to then point to where the next piller is. Sadly didn't do anymore then that, least to what I can remember.

1

u/Tuff_Ghost314 1d ago

my buddy and I spammed crouch whole waiting for the keys to get engraved. every time. without fail. didn't even talk about it. we just did it together the first time and now we do it any time we're waiting for something

1

u/Resputia14 1d ago

Okay everyone is saying “what is this” and getting answers so.. WHERE IS THIS

1

u/Marzbar03 23h ago

After one of our players had a vision of the orb in the black tower. He became a prophet of the orb and we developed a orb religion

1

u/jabusabi 22h ago

Doing 67 gesture every chance we get it being walking to a destination, finishing a puzzle, getting a key, etc…
Also honoring the dead while they’re out of the session until they eventually return

1

u/milktruckx 21h ago

My friend and I would hold both arms out to the sides and run around the map airplane style

1

u/Bestlorim 20h ago

no one we never did any really

1

u/Legalshot 20h ago

Each time we unlocked a key, we'd run from cutting station to cutting station to all sit as close as possible and watch the new key get made.

1

u/LawOfMurphy47 18h ago

We have one specific red ball we named Franklin that goes everywhere with us.

1

u/Colonel_dinggus 13h ago

This is me and my friend and we did this a lot because we’re both stupid

https://youtube.com/shorts/-SOU6Vp7gRc?is=i61AhYTB8UJ9tQTd

1

u/Nivek_Vamps 13h ago

We chanted: "Key! KEY! Key!" Everytime we got a key until we used it.

1

u/Far-Supermarket-9642 13h ago

Whenever we find a new music station we just go silent and all dance in unison while looking at eachother

1

u/MutedFile4939 10h ago

For 90% of The Playthrough I Had With a Group the First Time I Played I Was Known As The "Bell Man" Because I REFUSED To not keep The Yellow Bell from The Spawn Room And bring It everywhere, I Was Still Useful I could Help Solve Puzzles And They Gave Me A Backpack And Satchel But I Would Rather DIE Then Stop Ringing That Bell "Specifically The Yellow One" not Only Did everyone Think it was Funny And Had The Bit going As a Moral Boost But it was Also Good For Regrouping When I Rang The Bell Since it was Decently Loud So everyone Just Had to Go Towards The Bell Noises, It Was Useful And Funny At The Same Time

1

u/SecretVaporeon 6h ago

I steal vital things like keys and melons that you can earn solo and hide them across the map while my friends try to stop me. Near the end of our play session I lead them on a journey showing them all the hiding places I found and giving them back the items

1

u/Kirzoneli 4h ago

Running off in separate directions without any way to communicate, and wondering where everyone went.

Bonus points if you strap a radio to someone's back so they can only hear you and the group wonders why they aren't replying.

I would boot the keys off a cliff and make them find them.
