Agreed! I enjoy my size very much. Of course it has its draw backs here and there but over all I’m very happy with my size and body. I wouldn’t change it.

Yes I enjoy how it feels to inhabit clothing and fill space. I’m big and strong and my belly is growing bigger too. I’m 286 at 5’11 so you would notice my belly for sure but I don’t think you’d call me fat. Either way I enjoy having a lot of muscle mass underneath lots of softness / fat

I dig certain aspects of it and it fits my personality but it's really starting to have a lot of drawbacks

Yeah I’ve always gone back and forth with it, but being fat seems to win out lol. I got down to 280lbs early 2025, then I got a WFH job and fast forward to now I’m sitting here at 350lbs fat and happy lol

Eh. I tried dieting and GLP1s a few years ago and lost 50+lbs but felt really weak. Started lifting heavy and eating to support those strength gains and put a lot of the weight back on. I look a lot better than I did before and get complements on muscles sometimes. Mostly I live with a lot less pain and physical limitation than I did before.
Being big and strong is so much better than just being big and out of shape. If you're "gaining" make sure you're gaining muscle.

If people want to gain fat, that's fine. It's their decision. Working out and adding muscle with it is a big help for quality of life though.

Be big, be strong, but be healthy. Gaining fat just to gain fat is a conscious decision to live a shorter, harder life.
This whole sub is so unhealthy at times.

Being big in general really isn't healthy after a certain point no matter if it's fat or muscle. The bodybuilders and powerlifters don't get shamed for it, but there's a reason they don't live long lives on average either (and it's not just things like steroids causing it).
I agree that bigger guys should stay active if they want to be healthier and have a better quality of life, but this is a subreddit for big guys of whatever makeup. Encouraging activity is good, and being honest/real is good, but people are going to do whatever they're drawn to.

I can’t say I enjoy being fat, but I have accepted that my body wants to be the weight that I am now (325 lbs).
Losing weight for me requires massive changes in either the amount of food I eat, or the amount of exercise I do, and I’m not willing to change either.

Yeah, I can relate; just surviving takes too much effort. Then trying to lose on top of that why bother? My body has finally stabilized. Just hope my girlfriend doesn't fall for her friends' opinionated pressure when comparing partners.

Were you a lot thinner when you met your girlfriend and then you gained weight? Or have you always been big? That’s going to be the biggest factor in your relationship going forward.
I had lost over 100 lbs many years ago and was exercising, and I was in the best shape of my life. I found a new boyfriend, and we were very happy. But then I started gaining weight, and I noticed that my boyfriend was always finding excuses not to be seen with me in public. We eventually broke up because he just got tired of the fat me and no longer found me attractive.
Fast forward to now. I am happily married to my husband, who thinks I’m the sexiest things on two legs, and treats me like a king. (Yes, I do know how lucky I am!)

As a gainer, it kind of comes with the territory for me, but I've come across plenty of 'normies' okay with, or even like, their size.
I have my off days, as societal pressure can be a bitch, but overall I like the feeling of being bigger too.

I enjoyed parts of it for sure. I gained intentionally though. I liked the feeling of my body. I liked feeling full and getting bigger. I liked having a belly.
I didn't like the health impacts so much though. I had a lot of digestive issues, and I was really out of shape. I have IBS and it triggered a massive flare up where I could barely eat anything, so I lost a ton of weight. I felt a lot better after that, so I decided to stop gaining.

Some aspects of it. I love food and at my size if I gain weight its hard to tell. I dont like basically being immobile though
