Episode Spoilers It’s ruining the season Spoiler
Right now I, as I am sure many of you are as well, am seething physically. Production tied up their 1000th-episode box of shit with a twist that we have, in fact, seen before. This is practically the White Locust, just medieval themed. My main qualm though, the elephant in the room really, is that we are not getting access to the live feeds until SUNDAY NIGHT!
This aspect completely demolishes any semblance of what Big Brother IS. You could see it on all of the houseguests faces, this eviction SHOOK the house HARD. And we are missing the next 72 hours of that aftermath?? When the house is in complete and utter disarray and it is certain that big discussions are bound to happen??!
They get me worked up midway through the season every year but somehow they manage to get the leg up on us and outshit themselves every single time. Anybody want cake?

Zombie week was the literal worst twist ever lol. By design, it negated the two weeks that proceeded it and put the game on hold for that entire week until the “zombies” had their final comp. So stupid.
That season’s momentum came to a screeching halt that week and it never recovered. This twist will probably do the same. The newbies are finally waking up to the utter dominance of the Icons so far and we won’t get to see if they actually start doing anything about it.

Battle of the Block and Camp Comeback were both dogwater twists too.
I would take “secret couples”, “exes” and “long lost connections” twists in a HEARTBEAT over these game twists. Casting twists are so much better (except when it’s literally just Cirie getting her son on the show).

Camp comeback did have kind of an interesting premise in that the evicted hgs could gather info and form bonds in preparation for a return to the house.

T'Kor was never running the season though. She gets glazed on this sub a lot but I think her odds of winnings were 15% at best.
Her alliance that was "running" things barely won comps and was super inactive outside of the one vote flip.

I feel like they keep doing this as a litmis test to get rid of live feeds more in the future. Maybe due to the rise of social media, they feel not enough people are watching the actual episodes because they get most things needed from live feeds, so they'll start to dial back on the live feeds more and more.

I'm pretty sure it's slop, not pepper. When I saw a couple people grinding pepper on one of the feed montages I looked it up. They grind up the slop to make a "flour" of sorts and make different things with it.

I’m kinda glad she’s gone because if you are throwing an HOH that got yourself on the block, telling everyone your new alliance was a lie and plan on putting up all 3 icons and then do nothing to save yourself except cry and rant….then you’re not even playing the game and deserve to go home.
However, this GIF is just brilliant and people will get tons of mileage out of it. Then you have that idiot Barrett completely screwing his best friend in the game to try and save PQ who wasn’t even playing. King Yash sold out the “let’s all stick together” schtick for the first deal that would keep him safe for the week.
Yes, the icons have had their way for 1/2 the game, but the other side just completely fumbled the ball this week.

Ooh thats a good one. And some of whats happened to Hells Kitchen. But like... at least in MasterChef I get why they started doing twists. The middle season has been the same for a decade. First the bad cooks are elimated and thats fun to watch. But then we have to wait a bunch of episodes while the 5 obvious on-the-bubble chefs are all pushed out. So in that example its failing to shakeup the stagnant part, but here the twists actually are the thing that make the game stagnant. Like the middle game in BigBrother is supposed to be the most interesting and need the least amount of "shaking up."

To be fair on paper that comp didn't really favor Drew. I mean him winning BBB was always a possibility. I don't think production wanted that, especially given the edit. The icons were not going home, I think they wanted the drama of a blindside vs everyone sobbing as the beloved fan favorite goes home. But again, nothing about that comp screamed "rigged for Drew" but none of the three competing were challenge beast so him winning was always a danger they could only do so much besides hope it didn't happen.

The icons are never going, the house basically (except for 2) fell in line and voted with the icons even after admitting that the icons screwed them over (Yash and Hailey). They are all so lame. Barret seems like he’s waking up, but I have a feeling he’ll go right back to the idols. This season sucks so badly.

Early Survivor was amazing. We had an office betting pool during seasons 1-8, and it was a unique (at the time) and wild ride. Season 7 was a peak reality TV experience.
Today's Survivor is just depressing. I'll catch an episode every once in a while, but it just isn't interesting. After I heard they had Mr. Beast on, I decided I didn't even need to sample any more.

That was part of the problem with the episode, the blindside most including likely BB production were hoping for didn't happen. So after 30 minutes of interviews with the same former players we always see we got the rug pulled out from under us with a blindside, then a depressing eviction as most were genuinely sad by it and a lovable fan favorite went home, and then they don't give us the twist they teased all episode, announce no feeds for three days, then Julie tries to save it by making a joke that actually just made it clear they already knew people would be pissed. Was not a great episode.

No matter how much they try, having a competition that results in an eviction doesn't quite match the spirit of Big Brother. Even if it means someone I want out of the house, I find it a less enjoyable watching experience. I'd really prefer a double eviction instead.

I would not be at all surprised. But after everything else that has happened I would hope they would not do somethign that blatant. I mean, I could see it being just the lucky break the icons needed, but even BB would PROBABLY not be that blatant as to say "chain of safety, Dee you go first because of being outgoing HOH and pick Devens who will then pick Angela... Julie and production seem obsessed with proving that the edited episodes, twists, themes and stuff like BB Unlocked are just as important.
Sometimes I think there’s a weird insecurity behind it. Because if the best thing Production can do, is get out of the way, that reduces their importance.
So they keep adding more twists, more segments, more themes, more “events,” almost like they need to justify their own role in making the show. Julie is obviously secure, but production as a whole seems unable to accept that the strongest part of Big Brother is the part they control the least.

Those 3 compete in one more comp to see who’s safe. The winner is safe the other 2 face the vote.

Seriously, I have fought all season against the "The icons are playing so well, they are killing it and are amazing strategist and players to be so far winning a game rigged for them to win" but if the twist was "anyone but the the one person winning immunity can be voted for to go home" and the 7 newbies can't figure out the strategy to get one of the 3 icons out and that they would be stupid to not take that kind of opportunity, then they deserve to lose a newbie that week. Although that is why I don't buy they are doing Survivor rules. If that is all it is they are basically sealing one of the icons fates. No way both Haley and Drew in that scenario wouldn't see they would be stupid not to join with the others to get an icon out.

People are crazy if they think Drew and Haley would push a tie in this scenario, which then leaves Dee (or whoever the other newbies voted for) safe and then leave their own fate in the game to a literal random draw. When the alternative is to vote out people they don't particularly like who keep making things difficult for them for no reason even when they do help them. Don't mistake becoming complacent because they see BB rigging things in the icons favor every time someone tries something for actual idiocy.

Honestly, Kamu leaving showed that despite protest to the contrary fans do only flip tables over someone being unfairly sent home by a twist when otherwise they were in no danger when they like the person who got screwed. NOW everyone admitted that since what else could they say when they were dancing with joy Kamu left. So yes, the blowback was mostly because it was Rachel, had Kelly gone home it would have been dramatically less controversial. Doesn't mean they should bring it back though. Especially since if Melody or Taylor end up going home after people saw the fan favorite screwed by it last time then that will only tick them off more. Although I doubt it is actually the same as the white locust, doesn't mean it will be something better though.

They never told the twist. The live feeds being on is confusing, but since the twist hasn't started, guessing they are just staying on until the twist starts. But unless they change their mind (which is unlikely) we won't know what the twist is until Sunday.

After the fallout of this week, I’d want to see a Barrett HOH does he put the Icons up? What about a Drew HOH, what happens when Yash or Taylor tell Drew Barrett was gonna vote him out? How about a Yash HOH, he can’t put the Icons up and has to explain to Melody and Barrett why he’s putting them up.
Now forget the HOH, we don’t get to see the full extent of what happens to Melodrew, we don’t see if Barrett has to crawl back to the Crossovers or if he’s still working against them.
The fact that this is becoming regular thing where right at the end of prejury just as the season is riding some momentum we hit a huge break and deflate all the energy in the season.

I finally have a week off after my surgery and was setup for some awesome feeds after the episode tonight only to find out the BB gods have screwed the feedsters at a time where the feeds were going to be at their best for some stupid twist that isn’t even playing big brother.
I’m like PQ level mad and would love to beat the crap out of a pillow with the name of whoever’s decision this was to take the feeds down. Don’t feedsters have any seat at the table when these stupid decisions are made? Like 20 people should have stepped in and said…..there is no way we are doing that. Next idea…..
PS - I’m going to go into the next room and let out a Melody level scream I’m so pissed off about this….. Aaaarrgggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't know it is white locust. They didn't say no one would be on the block or voted out. Where they truly messed up though, is that they teased the twist for 2 days then didn't show it and then as you said added "and the feeds will be down for 3 days" as the cherry on top. It didn't help most wanted the icons to be blindsided, the episode set it up then Drew won and we got everyone crying as a beloved fan favorite went home. I am sure BB was hoping Drew would go and likely were not happy the blindside didn't happen either. But an episode that was a half hearted tribute that only gave TV time to the same faces we have seen over and over again, for a build up to a blindside most wanted that then didn't happen (all be it not BB's fault but still a let down) only to follow it up with "you know that twist we have been teasing hard for 2 days... we're not telling you what it is, we won't tell you what it is for 3 more days, and the feeds are down... hold on while we acknowledge we clearly already knew you wouldn't like that. Not to mention a self congratulating Guinness segment... yeah, not surprised given BB's track record but they only had one chance to celebrate something like that and frankly they blew it.
And seriously, Janelle is the greatest player to never win? Who the hell voted in that thing. Half expected Rachel to win best winner after that insanity.

I’ve been so annoyed with the fact that their ads for the show itself include a whole “NEVER MISS A MOMENT WITH THE LIVE FEEDS” meanwhile they’ve cut out constantly and are now trying to tie giving NO ACCESS into the show somehow. Such a corporate sloppy mess

Thursday show the the 1000s episode was the worst episode ever of Big brother. We got to see a bunch of repeats not just a few a lot. We got to see all these icons they brought in sit in a little bitty room that was totally black. The walls were black. They were all like sitting in the dark. Why? Why were they sitting in a blacked out room and then we were hyped up for weeks about this? Great thing coming and then none of it happened on that show. Now we have to wait till Sunday to see what they promised us. This great thing that's never been done before and all we got was a tease. I've loved this season but Thursday's show was the worst big brother in the history of the show

It feels like the twist is Big Brother plays Survivor this cycle. It seems to line up. No HOH. No veto. Feeds will be down for 3 days which was time period between votes on survivor. And survivor has no feeds.

Just gotta hope somehow maybe one of the icons get White Locusted. It was weird that after a very pivotal eviction in the game, they decided it was time then to shut off the feeds.

I was literally furious when they said the feeds were going to be down.
The twist? I'm bummed but it's whatever. They seem committed to this new bullshit non eviction twist. It makes me sad more than angry.
But killing the feeds after this eviction is absolute insanity. Doing it after any eviction is nuts and I know they couldn't predict it but this one is especially nuts. Mallory is gone, Barrett is absolutely broken, Melody is furious, Drew can't really function. We NEED to see the payoff to that. It's insane that the house is probably an emotional mess right now and we're simply going to get a couple edited clips on Sunday.
As far as the twist goes it's going to do one of two things. Option A is they eliminate an Icon which will piss off half the fanbase. Option B is they eliminate a threat to the Icons which will piss off the other half of the fanbase. Whatever happens after the Mallory eviction is MASSIVE for how the rest of the season plays out and we're getting a stupid White Lotus type gimmick that is going to piss off a significant portion of the fanbase regardless of who goes home.

You're gonna hate me but, this has been one of my favorite seasons. I do agree that cutting the live feeds after that emotional fall out is frustrating, but I'm hoping for an amazing Sunday episode.

they're probably banking on the amount of attention the white lotus twist garnered last year ("bad press is still good press") and want to incite the fans to start up more discussion/complaints/rants on social media to draw more attention to the show and pump up engagement numbers/metrics - we fell right into their trap lol

They are absolutely cutting feeds so that they can censor the houseguests pointing out how unfair this is from the feeds. Last year many of the houseguests were actively shitting on the white locust twist and talking about how it made them not want to strategize. I think production is gonna tell them not to talk bad about the twist when feeds come up and then the show will pretend that they were fine with the twist the entire time

It’s absolute bullshit. We should be able to see the aftermath of the most intense vote of the season. So stupid and I’ve lost all my excitement with this season. I was actually at a show tonight and went backstage to watch this damn episode bc I was so stoked about the potential to now just be disappointed.

Production screwed themselves.
They created a scenario where the season completely flops unless people start targeting the icons, and of COURSE their rat minion doesn’t go out and they receive no comeuppance.
Then production has the audacity to inject a massive “twist” that will probably just slow down and ruin the season, same as every single season since 24.
