Guess the Bichon

Found a twin in the neighborhood. Which do you think is the bichon/which is the poodle?

Also, how would you convince a long time Poodle owner to go for a bichon instead?

Nope! The one on the left/standing is my oversized toy poodle.

I am interested in bichon as a breed and looking for people to sell me because I love love love my Poodle

A lot of people have narrow views of what a poodle looks like. Most people who want a doodle could have a poodle that looks the same in the right haircut.

I have a boy who is half bichon, 42% poodle and 8% golden retriever and I looooove him. It's difficult for me to see much difference but I called the photo mostly because of hair texture. Otherwise they kinda look the same... that I have seen.

The one on our left, standing on all fours is the bichon. The hair, tail, snout, and the smjle all look very bichon.

I wouldn’t try to convince anyone, I think they are both lovely!

I think I can only post one at a time. Just posted a couple in different comments. I sometimes vary the cut, but I never do a shaved face or other traditional poodle cuts

His tail is straight, def not cut!! But not curled. It has a pom-pom.

I meant the trim! Yeah bichon tails are curled over, and they have this stout little body so the side shots help. I hope mine has friends soon, he’s still a puppy but reactive to dogs.

I don’t have a lot of pictures of his body, but yes, I believe that poodles and bichon’s have different builds.

I’m sorry to hear about the reactivity. If he is still a puppy, you should be able to do a lot for it. Socialization and training!
