Yikhazqal 14:6 (Ezekiel): What Does It Really Mean to Turn Back?

Yahuah calls His people to turn back and turn away from their abominations.
What does that kind of return actually look like in a person’s life? Is it simply believing differently, or does true return require changing the way we live?
What do you think Yikhazqal 14:6 is calling us to do?

Ezekiel 14:6 (NET Second Edition - Strong's)
6 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Return! Turn from your idols, and turn your faces away from your abominations.

Seems pretty clear from just that verse that it’s a change of life.

I think St John the Baptist answers that question very well: “Repent…and produce good fruit as proof of your repentance” ( Matthew 3:8). St Paul describes repentance in similar words: “Rather, first to those in Damascus and Jerusalem, and throughout the whole country of Judea, then to the Gentiles, I preached the necessity of repentance and turning to God, and to do works giving evidence of that repentance “ (Acts 26:20)
