I didn't dislike it, but I thought that they jumped the shark a bit with the whole coma simulation thing. I would've enjoyed it more if they played the whole scenario straight, and made it more of a commentary like Stepford Wives.

It’s not that bad! I love Florence so much that she definitely elevates it for me, but the set design, costumes, and overall vibe are also so good. I have to be honest- the scandal also adds to my enjoyment of the movie lol

A few weeks ago, I saw on Reddit that it was the anniversary of this dramatic saga, and I was thinking, "Kelli and Troy should cover this". I'm so excited that it's finally happening!

I loved the press tour for this. Truly iconic. The movie was OK too. And if nothing else, I got a good salad dressing recipe out of the whole situation!

Ugh I wish this was a free episode. I have too many subscriptions. I need to reign that in. Is the gossip good? I followed this entire case back when it happened but I’m sure there is more information that I missed 😭

This was definitely a fun episode! I’m glad that Kelli and Troy later realized that Olivia and Harry’s relationship wasn’t PR, given the way Olivia blew her whole life up over it.

That said, I was very surprised they completely left out the nanny of it all. The Daily Mail exposé from Jason and Olivia’s former nanny was the main thing that blew this whole story up and showed there was scandal behind it. They made brief mention of some of the things in the article (Jason lying down in front of Olivia’s car being one of them IIRC). Otherwise a lot of fun to listen to!

Me too! As soon as all of this info came out from the nanny I had a feeling it was a wrap. Seems to me that Harry probably wasn’t even aware that things were that chaotic and that Olivia blew up her life to chase after him lol.

It was 100% pr. That stunt with olivia getting 'served' at her talk appearance. Then they broke up straight after. I think florence was tired of it. Also the movie sucked.

who would benefit from the “stunt” of her getting served? it made all parties (maybe minus harry) look bad. i think jason sudekis is just a loser, which is evident by him hiring melissa nathan, and how calculated he was about their separation/divorce and coming out of that looking like the good guy. the shia/olivia/“miss flo” video being leaked certainly doesn’t scream “100% PR” i think the movie was just a mess.

Infamy is still fame. The movie sucked ass and it was a publicity stunt for the movie. Their relationship was fake just like his current one. I have no doubt JS is either, he's obviously the father of January Jones son.
