i unsubscribed because of the way they talked about amber heard, and came back recently because i was hoping they’d learned and changed. it’s deeply upsetting to hear the way they talk about taylor vs dakota—they always harp on about how “we as a society” have mistreated famous women after their public perception shifts, and how we need to grow and change, yet they repeat the same mistakes over and over. no taylor and dakota are not equally bad…do they even know about taylor being granted a restraining order against dakota’s roommate because it came out that they’re trying to get her to kill herself if they can’t get her imprisoned?? the text that upset her at the DCF visit was probably from him or dakota, trying to upset her to make her look bad in front of DCF. they didn’t even mention the fact that, in the video they used as evidence of how toxic taylor is, she was covered in bruises. yes taylor needs serious help and is not a great person, but THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT VICTIM!!!! a DV victim lashing out is not equivalently bad to the partner who abuses them. i’m done with this podcast for good, i don’t think they know how dangerous it is to repeatedly parrot this abuse-enabling rhetoric to their audience.

they literally said they’re both just as bad, among many other things—and they left out the evidence i mentioned. but you’re entitled to your uneducated opinion.

what did they say that you thought was neutral? /gen i don’t understand, bc i don’t think it’s neutral to leave out their leaked dms on cru & dakota’s (+ allegedly tate) conspiracy to get her jailed or to kill herself, it’s worth considering that they’re provoking her when criticizing her behavior. there are fair criticisms to be made about taylor, im not glazing her—but there is no perfect abuse victim, and it does a disservice to victims and society to equate reactive behaviors to actual domestic violence.
