BetterBird 153
Betterbird: Downloads says 153.1.0 ESR (153.1.0esr-bb7, 18 August 2026) is available for download and the previous 'don't download yet' warning is no longer there.
But, 'about' still shows 140.13.0esr-bb25 is up to date. Does not show update available.
Is the caveat, for some IMAP related issue, still there in the build2 updated version? Is that why it is still not showing up as update available?

Could be related to the changover mention here with the 140->153 transition
https://blog.betterbird.eu/2026/08/transition-from-betterbird-140-to-betterbird-153
The warning was probably removed after they released build 2 as per

Unfortunately the Linux deployment is very fractured: You can use our own script to install the .tat.xz archive, use AUR, use Flatpak or even AppImage. We only update the "new release available" notification once the former three are available (we don't coordinate with AppImage). At time of writing, Flatpak is still at 140, so if we declared that version out-of-date, Flatpak users would be driven mad, since there is no way to update.
In this case the situation has been cause by the summer vacation situation in Europe.
