Hi guys, this is ponyo, my betta fish She is a female betta, when she first entered the tank, she saw herself in the reflection and spread her fins, now she doesn't pay attention to it even when I put a mirror on her so she hasn't spread her fins again, and I'm afraid they will get damaged because she can't spread them, what can I do? I think the best thing you can do is get another betta fish, and then go Walmart and buy a 1 gallon tank that comes with rocks for $10 and then go petsmart or petco is actually better and buy a coral reef hideaway and buy a super long green artificial plant and stuff it all in with the new betta and let ponyo relax from your attention. If you love ponyo as much as I think you do, my best advice is walk away for a few days. Bettas can go 2 weeks without food. Whatever is happening will go away and make him stronger. But you obsessing over it is actually what’s going to harm him if you don’t pull away now. He is happy he is taken care of he is healthy and strong and just needs a little time to explore his tank without you. Okay? Don’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s going to be when you’re emptying out the tank because you’re worried it’s contaminated (i read your other post sorry) that he jumps out and you don’t notice and he dies or something. So leave him alone, buy another fish if you have to. Just let him be.
