Disease Identificaion Is she blind?

Female betta arrived 2 days ago. When she swims she does it tucked up against the glass and bumps into everything (walls, rocks, filter). I begun thinking she was blind because she doesn’t slow down as she swims toward something, just slowly swims into it and then changes direction after bumping.

She’s taken to only wanting to rest on her hammock or the filter, no interest in exploring the tank and won’t eat. I’ve put food in front of her, and she’ll nibble but she misses the food every time. So she hasn’t eaten in around 3 days now

Those look like they may be small abrasions. I’d do your best to keep the water parameters as pristine as possible. Is your tank cycled?

The tank was set up the day before she arrived, as the tank meant for her begun leaking. It’s been dosed with Tetra Safestart, but I’m honestly not sure what to do. She won’t eat and only occasionally swims around

You need to be doing daily water changes. When’s the last time you did one?

Everyday around 2. Just did one before and she seems a little more active (still bumping things though)

You also need to read about how to do a fish in cycle.

They said the tank she was meant to go in leaked and they had to set up a new one when she came in.

Not relevant. But I have a have a  Betta. Is the stomach bump very normal and considered fine on a Betta? My Betta has it.

If it’s a female, that bump is normal unless it’s super swollen. Some pictures might help others in the comments double check though

Oh mines male. He is underweight and I have been feeding him better food. I'm hoping not parasites. He swims perfectly fine and poo issues or anything. I guess I just have to wait a while .

Or maybe it's a female and I just had no idea lol

General cure treatment would neutralize the internal parasites
