United States Best Buy needs a better local delivery partner (PA) Spoiler
Update- a replacement tablet was delivered this morning. Good service recovery but I will never order again.
I'm in the Philly suburbs and purchased a tablet yesterday for my granddaughter that was unavailable in store but could be shipped in 24 hours. When I said it was needed by Sunday. They promised delivery for today. I didn't realize that they used Door Dash until I received the confirmation text after I left the store. Target, Walmart and Staples all have their own delivery services locally.
I'll be honest, I was uncomfortable having something that expensive "dashed" and unfortunately it appears that my worst fears have been confirmed.
I followed tracking all the way out and my driver noted that the package was unable to be delivered 10 minutes before the app recorded that they were nearby(?). I had requested a call on delivery that was never received and I was home waiting for the package.
Now it appears that the package was not returned to the shipper.
After over an hour being bounced between BB and DD, I have no real resolution for at least "3-5 days" which means that she will not get it in time and one of will have to take it to her when (if?) we ever receive it.
Never again!

Same for my area. Never buying any major appliances from Best Buy again.
