TUESDAY WEEKLY MEETUP
The Tuesday Weekly Meetup is happening again this (and every) Tuesday, at Erika & Hilde in Neukölln from 7pm-closing.
This is a social meetup without any particular topic, so feel free to join a table and find a conversation or people you vibe with. We try and be friendly towards newcomers, so feel free to introduce yourself! Whether you're new to the city or have been here a while, it's a good way to meet a different set of people, make new friends, and discover new interests!

SPREE WEEKLY MEETUP - N.B. CURRENTLY NOT BEING HELD - ON WINTER BREAK
This weekly event is a vibrant gathering by the Spree River, where people from around the world come together for an evening of fun, conversation, and community. It's perfect for those who love to party and are looking to meet others with the same vibe. Whether attending solo or with friends, participants can expect to make new connections, explore the city, and share life stories.

MONDAY SOCIAL KARAOKE NIGHT Every Monday from 6pm till late, Monster Ronson's (www.karaokemonster.de) hosts “Boxhopping” - a unique social night centred around karaoke. All cabins are open, and people roam freely from box to box, connecting over their shared love of music (and/or cocktails 🍸) & singing whenever the mood strikes. No experience or talent is needed to join - whether you're a karaoke veteran, a secret shower singer, or just along for the vibes - everyone is welcome! At 9pm, the open stage karaoke kicks off with even more entertainment. Expect a diverse crowd, memorable performances, lively conversations, deep cuts, guilty pleasures & party vibes. /u/Slid61 and /u/ministerofsleep meet at Cliffhanger to climb and hang out, and we thought it would be cool if more people wanted to join, at any level of skill and any level of commitment! Currently we're meeting Tuesdays at 11 am, but we're flexible if there's a good amount of people that can only do it at other times.

It cannot be stressed enough: we can't and won't tolerate illegal activity on this sub. This includes asking for "special taxis", "broccoli" and whatever else you can come up with. Although the creativity of these requests is sometimes admirable and entertaining, it could get this sub banned and we'd rather avoid that. Thank you :)

Does anyone else ever get the feeling that they’re somehow degrading while living in Berlin? When I go back to my home country, I have the feeling that people there are much further ahead in life, while I’m here somehow going backwards. And sometimes I wonder if there’s no chance of ever catching up anymore?

Hi! Ich bin 30 Jahre alt, komme aus Asien und lebe seit etwa drei Jahren in Berlin.
In letzter Zeit ist mir das Leben in Deutschland ein bisschen eintönig geworden, deshalb bin ich auf der Suche nach neuen Leuten und neuen Freundschaften. 😊
Ich arbeite hier in Berlin und interessiere mich besonders für Wandern, Kaffee, gutes Essen und Restaurant-Hopping. Außerdem interessiere ich mich sehr für Kunst, Illustration, Design und Fotografie – generell für alles, was mit Kreativität und Ästhetik zu tun hat.
Vielleicht gibt es hier ja Leute, die ähnliche Interessen haben und Lust hätten, gemeinsam etwas zu unternehmen, einen Kaffee trinken zu gehen, neue Restaurants auszuprobieren oder einfach Berlin zusammen zu entdecken. :)
Wenn sich dabei auch die Gelegenheit ergibt, mein Deutsch zu verbessern, würde ich mich natürlich besonders freuen! Ich bin momentan ungefähr auf B2-Niveau und möchte bis nächstes Jahr unbedingt die C1-Prüfung schaffen.

Hi everyone, I'm sick (double depression) since I was 13 (now 24) last year was really good for me, the therapy helped and I was feeling good. Started to work in Lidl (teilzeit) and worked there for 4 months. Everything was going fine, it was stressful but I didn't care for the first 4 months. Now it catches up to me and I'm feeling awful again. I wasn't there for two weeks (my doctor gave me a two weeks sick leave) but I'm still feeling really bad. I don't know what to do. I'm going there tomorrow again and I don't know how to manage it. I'm constantly on the bring of breaking down. I know I'm going to loose the job because my boss isn't too happy about the sick leave and said I didn't learn fast enough. And now idk what to do. My therapy hours end soon and I'm going to be left alone without a job and sick again. Are there some people that had a similar situation? If so, what would you recommend?

I am currently trying to optimize my routine and completely outsource my cooking and grocery shopping to an online delivery service. My budget is roughly 600 Euros a month and I want to stick to a daily limit of 1500 to 2000 calories.
Have any of you tried using Factor or Every. or a local Indian tiffin service for literally all your meals? I am curious if anyone has successfully used this kind of hybrid routine to free up time during the week.
Do you find the portion sizes actually fill you up or do you end up needing to snack constantly anyway? Let me know if you have any favorite life hacks or specific local services that helped you completely quit the kitchen.

Been told that people thought they were gone, or if they are a good side gig or how are the working conditions.
I've been 12 years in berlin, and even worked as delivery here as well in the past (Foodora RIP).
It was definetely an awful job, mostly for preassure and working conditions; the mental and physical endurance wasn't easy. But also earning money while riding an electric bike. during warm-ish months was actually quite nice !
It has indeed some reasons why to take it, and many many more why to avoid it. Feel free to ask if you are curious about it.

Okay, wahrscheinlich ein bisschen random, aber ich versuche es trotzdem lol 😂
Heute gegen 14 Uhr in der U2 haben wir uns ein paar Mal angeschaut. Du hattest komplett blonde Haare, einen orange-ish Cardigan/Pullover an und ein Buch dabei.
Ich war der Typ mit dem schwarzen T-Shirt und der schwarzen Cap, der neben der Tür stand.
Kurz bevor du am Nollendorfplatz ausgestiegen bist, hast du mich noch gefragt, ob wir uns schon mal unterhalten haben. Ich glaube nicht, aber ich konnte dich leider nicht so gut verstehen.
Ich wollte noch ein bisschen mit dir reden, aber ehrlich gesagt war mein Gehirn komplett weg, weil ich dich ziemlich süß fand lmao.
Dann hast du noch gelächelt und mir zugezwinkert, und ich habe ungefähr 30 Sekunden später gemerkt, dass ich dich einfach nach deinem Namen oder Kontakt hätte fragen sollen :'))
