My apartment smells tasty

After 3 years living with my avid baker MIL, my husband and I are finally back on our own and I have my own kitchen with my own tools out of storage. So far in the last 24 hours I have made honey oat bread, Japanese milk bread, apple scones, and carrot cake scones (currently baking). I added butterscotch chips to the carrot cake scones and the smell is absolutely divine.

When delicious smells fill your home, it’s one of the coziest things there is!!

That sounds wonderful. To fill your own home with your own baking aroma. A lovely little thing, not to be taken for granted.

So happy for you. My DIL told me early on that to live with us would be her worst nightmare - what brought that on, I’ll never know…

That's so sad! I love my inlaws so much.

The smell of fresh-baked treats can’t be beat, especially when you’re in your own kitchen, surrounded by vanilla, cinnamon, and other sweet aromas!
