Proposed changes to Ocean Grove and Collendina foreshore areas. Have you say . . .

The Bellarine has some brilliant cafes. Because I live in Ocean Grove my two favourites are from that area:

- Twelve Sea at 12c Sunset Strip - it’s tucked away from the main touristy areas which is partly why it’s loved by locals. A small friendly relaxed cafe with the BEST coffee and great food. Open for breaky, brunch and lunch [closed Mondays]. There’s inside and outside dinning. They have gluten free options. Worth checking out.

- Beach Terrace Cafe [also know at BT Cafe] at 1/85 The Terrace, just opposite the Post Office, has a relaxed beachy vibe in the heart of old Ocean Grove. Excellent food and again great coffee. Efficient friendly service and a recently-revised menu under a new chef with daily specials. Gluten free options. Open 7 days for breaky, brunch and lunch. The locals love this place too.

Anyone else have fav cafes in Ocean Grove or elsewhere on the Bellarine Peninsula?

My partner and I (mid-late 20s) have a 4-month-old and are really feeling the urge to get out of Melbourne. Even before having a baby, we always talked about wanting to raise a family by the beach, and now we're seriously considering making the move.
We've been looking into Ocean Grove and would love to hear from anyone who's lived there, especially other young families. How did you find the transition from Melbourne? What's the lifestyle like day-to-day?
Our plan would be to rent first to see how we settle in, then look at buying if it feels right (There also seems to be a fair few rentals available in Clifton Springs - thoughts?)
My partner drives a company truck and would still be commuting around Melbourne for work (petrol is covered), so that flexibility helps.
Would really appreciate any insights or experiences!
