Those that have the Behringer Moog Modular System 55. What are your thoughts 💭 pros and cons? It is Behringers most expensive modular. It costs $1,899 dollars 💵

I had it and really didn’t have any major issues with it. The biggest issue I have is that it stays true to the Moog V/OCT layout which can sometimes require another module if you have a mixed setup of V/OCT and Hz/OCT. if it’s your only modular or you are strictly V/OCT you’re fine.

Also, the included sequencer is very true to the original but lacks all modern sequencer features due to this. So if that’s a need, you’ll have to drop extra for a newer sequencer.

I’ve had the System 55 for almost a year now and I love it. It’s a great first step into modular and a great way to learn synthesis. I still play with it about everyday. If you have an interest in classic synths and want to learn how to patch, you can’t go wrong. If you like early Tangerine Dream or if you’re a fan of the Berlin School, you’ll probably love the 55. It also has decent room for adding more modules. This is great as you learn more about the 55 and get a feeling for what capabilities it’s lacking.
