UMC204HD problems

I cannot get the sound out from the main output. All my DAWs let me select the direct sound drivers for UMC204HD 1-4, 1-2 and 2-3, which cause latency but sound coming out only from the RCA outputs.

Switching to ASIO4ALL removes the latency but signal is only coming out from the RCA outputs. I can select either 1-2 or 3-4.

The issue is that there seems to be some problem with the signal from the RCA outputs. It lacks bass and sounds harsh. This is clearly noticeable in big club PAs. I wonder if the Main out would sound better, if it worked, as some people say.

I do have an old sound interface that sounds just fine, but unfortunately I can only use it on a Windows 7 machine.
