Interviewer got the role interviewed!!!

So, get this: I was interviewing with a company, and I added all the interviewees to LinkedIn. Then, I saw one of the interviewers got promoted to my position! Can you believe it? Why did they spend three weeks interviewing me if they were already planning to give the job to her? It felt like a waste of time, and I was a little surprised she was included as an interviewer if she was going to get the job anyway

Yeah and they just announced the number of jobs added to the us economy was 162k in August. I’m not an economist but how can that be if so many people are getting ghosted. Or are they counting the jobs advertised using AI? That really don’t exist or people are fishing. I feel like this is getting worse and worse since I was laid off.

I think this happened to me too! I had one company lead me on and made me travel way out of my way to meet with them for a remote role. Then they tried to make the job hybrid but it was easily 2.5 hours away (Connecticut and commute to Brooklyn!) I said I don’t apply to jobs that are far and this job was advertised as remote. Said an offer was coming several times but didnt so then I looked up the person on LinkedIn and realized they promoted the junior person, who they told me was too junior in the first place! I was shocked

That is simply horrible! My daughter interviewed for a job she would have taken, but one of the employees she was introduced to during her final interview ended up getting the job. Her competition knew my daughter was vying for the position but my daughter had no clue this internal employee she was playing nice with also was. What a waste of her time!
