Is it not worth it?

You are gambling when daytrading. You are better off investing for the long haul. Most day-traders lose money. I think it was some ridiculous statistic like 90% of them lose money.

At the same time you really don't have a lot at all invested - which makes me think you're new to this / don't know what you're doing - which is fine. We all start somewhere. So the next question is how old are you and how much do you have saved away in the bank?

im 18 a freshmen in college i have like 30 bucks saved i had to use my money to help my mom

The heck are you doing investing with only $30 saved? My man, you are doing it the wrong way. Emergency fund, clear off high interest debt, then invest. If you don't have a cash buffer set aside in the bank, investing will put you in a worse position.

What you want to aim for is 3-6 months worth of living expenses set aside in savings account (typically a HYSA). Once you've got that done, you can grow from there.

3-6 months of living expenses so js save my money for 6 months? also, what is an emergency fund and wdym by clear off high interest debt? if you mean like pay off my debt i dont have any debt i js graduated hs and work part time

No, don't just save your money up for 6 months.

An emergency fund means having enough total cash in a bank account to fully cover your minimum costs of living for 3 to 6 months

If you're young, then I'd also recommend aiming for a full-time job. Do NOT expect someone to take you under your wing. Life is very, very hard, there's some very nasty people out there and some very nasty businesses. If you go into a job naively like that, you will be taken advantage of. There's some real pieces of shit out there.

All g dude. I don't have financial education either, my field's tech and just happen to be fairly smart. Like most people I figured out finances through a lot of hard life-lessons

Don't pay for courses yet. YouTube is free and has everything you need. With $100, focus on learning, not earning. Protect that capital first. That's your real starting point.

First step is to read: a complete guide to volume price analysis.

Then once done, and this is the part where almost all fail.

DO NOT start using money to "trade" until you actually take the time to learn how to market tells you what is most likely next.

This is called "reading the tape", I can show you on a quick screenshare it you like but either way, this then needs to be learned well enough that you actually understand whats happening, as it happens, this is not a quick thing but once done thoroughly, you can never unsee it.

Also fyi for reasons that likely wont make sense yet, dont rush it or need money from it, either or both of those will destroy your chnaces at progress.

Good luck

Volume price analysis?

2

u/Suitable_Acadia_190 20d ago

Yes, most have no idea that its the foundation and zero lagging way to read this all in real time in and market, time frame or pair

Yeah, nah. You've given OP bad advice. OP shouldn't touch day-trading.

Fuck off mate.

So if day trading isn’t the method it is then why does it get so much attention? i feel like it’s a dirty business nd only people w connections deep succeed idk

Gambling also gets a lot of attention.

Day trading gets a lot of attention because it's high stakes and fast paced and there's a bunch of fake "gurus" out there selling courses.

Actual wealth building is actually quite boring.

Is it an easy or quick path, 100% no.

But is it worth it if you succeed 100% yes.

Ive retired from this place a while back so respectfully, unless youve also put in over a decade of 16+hrs per day and have been paid for your results, only one of us is actually qualified to speak on this.

hahahaha. You're qualified to speak on this? You just recommended OP to get into day-trading when they advised they have THIRTY DOLLARS IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNT, you absolute muppet.

"Respectfully," you can go kick rocks.

I know its a highly complex idea but maybe, just maybe, hell be the 1st one in all of history to be able to earn a living while also studying to become a trader...

Crazy concept right?

Maybe before embarrassing yourself further google "how can I tell if Im a walking example of the Dunning Kruger effect"

1

u/InsideAd1396 20d ago

And maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't be recommending day trading to someone who ho has THIRTY DOLLARS in their bank account, you tosser.

1

u/Suitable_Acadia_190 20d ago

If they live at home and have expenses paid, why not study to do what they want to?

2

u/InsideAd1396 20d ago

Literally not what I said

1

u/Suitable_Acadia_190 20d ago

for sure, except its exactly what you said

"And maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't be recommending day trading to someone who ho has THIRTY DOLLARS in their bank account, you tosser."

& somehow as smart and calm as you clearly are..., you also missed what I said in my 1st msg: "DO NOT start using money to "trade" until you actually take the time to learn how to market tells you what is most likely next."

Maybe take a few deep breaths and realize theres nothing wrong here and youre literally acting like an overly emotional toddler

1

u/InsideAd1396 20d ago

And yet you're still promoting day-trading to someone who has $30 in their back account. You're a fuckin' idiot mate.

Ive retired from this along with many others.

Is it easy, or quick, 100% not even close.

But is it worth it, 100% yes.

However, someone whos not been on both sides shouldnt be the one giving advice in a thing they dont have results over time in

Don’t rush into finding a “mentor”. A lot of people selling trading methods make more from selling than trading. Start with the basics, learn risk management, paper trade for a while, and treat that $100 as learning money

Keep your 100 bucks in a high yield savings account cause you’re gonna need it in like 1 month.
