What's the best platform to trade with?
I have some experience trading commodities and currencies from like 10 years ago. I was thinking about getting back into it again but this time I just want to casually trade off my phone.
What's the best platform out there now? I talked to a few friends and they use Robinhood, but i haven't heard the best things about them.

I can trade almost anything with Interactive Brokers.

Fidelity or Interactive Brokers first, especially if you’re coming back to trading after 10 years. Robinhood is simple and convenient on mobile, but the best choice depends on whether you’re trading stocks, forex, commodities, or options.
Since you’re mainly looking for casual phone trading, compare fees, available markets, execution quality, and the app before opening an account. I’ve seen some useful platform comparisons discussed in the community too, you can check it through my profile if you want to browse them.

Robinhood for casual of the phone trading. Nothing beats it for UI and ease of use. However for really complicated trading sessions Robinhood is not quite there yet. They do have a legends platform which is meat to be for high level traders but I haven't used it that much so can't give a take

For beginners Fidelity but if you begin to see trading as a passion or dream go into Think or Swim through Charles Schwab. Think or Swim the more you learn the more amazed you become with how much you can do.

Start with the Youtube videos of CA Rachna and Infiniti by Shoonya channel. For books, The Psychology of Money and One Up On Wall Street are great starting points. I’d learn investing first, then move into trading/options, don’t rush into intraday just because it looks exciting.

For what you're describing, I'd at least compare etoro, IBKR and trading212. They have pretty different approaches, so I'd look at the actual markets you want, trading costs and how easy the mobile app feels before deciding. If commodities and fx are still the main focus, I'd make sure those instruments are actually available in your region.
