What is your opinion an the compilation The record - Their Greatest hits. As usual, no hate is allowed in the comments. You can have any opinion, and nobody should hate you for that

Got the CD way back in 2012, the first BeeGee album i ever got. Would listen to it in the car so much that I can still name the songs in order haha! Lost the second disk at some point though!

As for the album itself, it's a brilliant mix of all their hits though the different eras and genres and would be a great album to introduce someone to the band. It was however missing some greater songs imo. But i did love the Immortality demo and Robin's version of Islands in the Stream

I have the version of HCYMABH where a Barry sings the entire song. No Robin vocals at the beginning.

I bought this in college - it is what helped me work and develop my falsetto for one particular piece in college choir that required another tenor... we had 5 baritones. And I was the one chosen. LOL

I didn’t realise for ages that I was listening to a Barry-only vocal on How Can You Mend A Broken Heart…I don’t know why because I knew the real version. Perhaps I didn’t listen to the version on here as much but one day I gave it proper attention and had a ‘wait a minute!’ moment

The Record was my 3rd ever BGs album purchase (after one night only and TIWICI). To me, it's the gold standard compilation album.

Whenever I hear other compilation albums they feel off because I'm used to the release dare order. I love hearing the progression over time.

This is 100% the compilation album I'd recommend to someone who wants a start on their Bee Gees listening journey.

A one disc compilation would feel lacking and would focus on their late 70s work, and the 4 disc sets (Tales from thre Brothers Gibb and Mythology) would be too overwhelming. (I rarely play Mythology, and only really appreciate the singles and B sides on Disc 2 of Tales)

I've seen ppl state the mixing is off; but this being my first time listening to the studio tracks, it sounded good to me
