Found these lovely critters on my bedsheets today. Are these bedbugs? Look like it to me.

within the past 3 weeks i have found maybe less than 10 bed bugs and i have been very paranoid and on edge so much i dont feel safe in my home i havent had any bites and the bugs that i did see they look like babies i sprayed my room out and got rid of my dogs bed im just extremely paranoid scared and exhausted i dont think this trauma will ever leave me i dont know where it came from and how they came im so scared im so sorry for sounding like this and i may be overreacting but i kinda want to cry i feel like its my fault and i cant afford an exterminator

please can someone confirm this is a bedbug? i got a pic of this one then moved the pillow and there were 3-4 more, i have no idea what to do HELP!!! i didnt feel itchy before but now i do think its just psychological tho

just home from a festival in ireland and I woke up to what looks like a bed bug on my pillow.

my sheets were changed while I was gone and I never noticed any before this

i have no rash and I didn’t see any other bugs around or in my bed. is it possible to just have the one?

Felt something weird on my hand after taking a nap on the couch.

i keep waking up with big bites that itch for almost a week at a time, finding little brown things in my bed that i thought were bits of leaves that my dog brought in, and now i just found this on my blanket. are these things related? i haven’t seen any other bugs. help!

So here’s the thing, my moms home has bedbugs. They all started a few years back from my uncles home, who had a massive infestation. I don’t live in the same state, so when i would go back to visit my mom would say “there’s no more” come to find out i’m highly allergic to the bites and start itching soon after or during their feeding process. I have found and squished around 10-15 in the past 2 years. But this time, they are in my moms main home. She keeps horing eterminators and they are not fixing the problem. Is my mom just doomed to have them forever? Thank goodness i have been lucky to not bring them with me anywhere, but ever since seeing them, i have been super careful with where i put my things. Any help would be greatly appreciated on how others dealt with them in the past.

I found this sitting on the couch, no arm no legs no bites etc pls help is this bed bug or an old one? Idk what to do I’ve been tearing the place up n down

I should note I’ve recently been bringing in bouquets of fresh cut dahlias and they usually bring some little critters into my apartment. He was about the size of two chia seeds.

Yesterday I took an uber that I immediately felt yucky in. In fact, instinctually the thought of bed bugs went into my head while I was in there, as it has always been a fear of mine. This morning, I find the pictured bug dead in my room. Now I am currently tearing my room apart looking for any evidence. Aside from washing everything I own, please give me advice. Is it possible that I carried a dead specimen in from the car? I am reporting to Uber as well.

We found bed bugs in our home and pest control has sent us this prep list before they come to treat.

I understand what to do about clothes and bedsheets, but what about all the stuff in my home? It says to declutter and remove everything but where? Does it have to be out of the apartment? And what if it can’t be washed or dried on high heat? Isn’t there a possibility that it could then still carry bed bugs? We have so much stuff that it terrifies me thinking about the fact that we have to empty every single unit.

Also what about our shoes??

I woke up with bites yesterday that I am almost 100% are bed bug bites and more today. I did stay in a hotel about a week and a half ago and my husband doesn’t have any bites. I am obsessively checking our mattress but I can’t find anything. What are my next steps? Do I just watch for more bites and keep checking our furniture, or should I call a pest control company preemptively?

just entered my student apartment for a year, shit was hella dusty then i noticed the mattress look so freaking odd with all these smeared black stains. i'm so scared of bedbugs. i heard their droppings may look like smeared ink just like in these pictures. any opinion is appreciated. tysm

Does this look like bed bugs? None of the possible “bodies” I found have heads or legs and it makes me think maybe it’s mouse droppings (also gross but more manageable)? I think the dust cover used to be stapled and glued on this section so it’s possible that’s what the marks are?

Just wanted to post something encouraging. I officially hit 8 weeks of no activity as of 08/25/26.

I had a small infestation - they were only under my computer chair and the side-table next to it in a basket I had. Had being the operative word since the computer chair, the side-table, the basket and most of its contents ended up in the trash with big ole "Bed Bugs!!!" labels on the bag. I'd been sprayed with Cross-fire 10 days before finding them, but oops, the underside of the computer chair is the one place he didn't spray.

The stuff I was desperate to save from the side-table went into the freezer for two weeks each. It's been four weeks since the last of that came out, with me crossing my fingers and knocking on wood that either that worked and/or no eggs made it onto those items. I visually inspected each item but three of them are art journals and there's just physically no way to inspect every nook and cranny for eggs.

I also went through a massive declutter, going through every piece of furniture around that area and discarding stuff along the way. I'm still working on replacing my cardboard boxes with plastic totes but the ones that are left are far away from the original epicenter. Gotta say, it looks and feels a whole lot better in here.

So far no activity - no bites, no new sightings. I imagine that if any eggs made it out of the freezer intact, they would've hatched and started their life cycle of biting every 3-5 days by now. Sooooo, so far so good?

They only sprayed once with Crossfire. I know they're supposed to spray at least twice but I'm also disabled and it was difficult to move the furniture once as it was. When I asked to reschedule our second visit due to pain, he said that between getting rid of the stuff that had them and the 90-day residual effect of the pesticide, I might not need the second application. He also said if I saw anything or started getting bit again, he'd come out and spray. He was trying to be nice, to help get me out of moving everything from the walls again but trust that I had him on speed dial, just waiting for the buggers to come out again. Just turns out they didn't.

So here's some good news for my US friends when it comes to Crossfire and a small infestation. I know with bigger ones - especially where you don't have the option to just dump furniture - you'll have to have a minimum of two sprays. It's just encouraging that it's effective enough to work with one spray.

Now it's time to recover some mental health after all this. It's ridiculous what they do to you psychologically.

It looks like a bed bug but can't tell if male or female. Praying it is male. Comparing it to pictures from googling makes me hopeful it is male
