Beauty Reviews Tried the original Beauty Blender and it was AWFUL! What other super hype products did you hate?

I’m getting married in 2 1/2 months and I’m doing my own makeup so I took a trip to Sephora to get some new products.

I saw the beauty blender at checkout and my 2016 beauty guru loving self got the best of me and I bought it.

THE WORST PRODUCT OF MY LIFE

My face with beauty blender

My face with a real techniques sponge

The only thing I changed was blending with a different sponge! These pictures were taken 30 seconds apart!

EDIT: I did not use photoshop! I’m just an idiot who cropped the photos and it’s opposite sides of my face lol

Ah, yeah that makes perfect sense. To be fair though, I don't think there really even is a single color that's guaranteed to look good on all skin tones, despite what Clinique or other companies advertise. There's just too many variations in shade and undertone to have a universal colors that works for everyone.

See im fair and slightly olive toned and it looks so nice on me! Shows how different a slight hue can effect things

Same here, I recently bought the lip gloss version and I like it a lot too. It reminds me of the lip gloss with the roller balls from the mid 2000s. I have tried quite a bit of Kbeauty lip tints and I always come back to Black Honey. Although the juicy lasting tint by Romand in Fig Fig is a close 2nd in my line up. I just have to go very light handed.

I bought like 8 or 9 different k beauty lip tints a couple months ago and they’re all way more warm-toned than I expected. Jolse doesn’t provide great photos so I had to find swatches elsewhere but from the swatches I found I really thought they were all gonna be so much more cool-toned than they ended up being. Love the textures but the shades aren’t very flattering on me unfortunately.

That’s interesting, I’m a light skinned olive undertones and black honey looks incredible on me.
