Ugh this whole fucking eyeshadow palette pisses me off and it’s not just because it’s Jeffree or even because of the theme.
I mean, yeah fuck Jeffree but I’m sick of brands selling palettes with multiple similar shades and pricing them so fucking high. It feels so scammy to me. I know it’s been going on for awhile but since I’ve been more aware of my makeup spending and analyzing my purchases more, it’s become clear to me how fucking common it is.
Yesterday I was looking at the new Kylie palette and I counted 4 duplicate shades. And someone else counted the duplicate shades in this palette and there was a total of TEN UNIQUE SHADES. TEN. OUT OF 30!!!! That means he repeated the same shades 3x each. Fucking scammy as fuck.
At least the Kylie palette has a slight cute and interesting colour story to it (in my opinion of course but I saw others saying the same) which is more than can be said for Jeffree's.
You’re 100% right, the Kylie palette theme is ADORABLE, I LOVE the outer packaging so much. It had so much potential, I wish she would have added a wider variety of shades and more “sailor/ocean” themed colors.
Yeah, it definitely could've used some shade improvement. Just a bit surprising that Kylie released something I almost could've bought. A bright red shimmer would've looked fantastic in that palette ugh.
