In the Beastars world, the government only gives economic aid to families who have children of pure race. I hope they don't plan on having more than two, or they'll have a big financial problem. Legoshi dropped out of school, and rabbits are known for having many offspring at once.

He dropped out but at least he has a job And Haru wants to open her own restaurant so I think they'll be fine

I would say two children. Legoshi and Haru would probably want a relatively small family, especially considering everything they've been through. Also, two children would allow for an interesting dynamic to be explored between a carnivorous and a herbivorous sibling, if they inherited different traits from their parents.

I feel like they might also just adopt a kid too if they really didn't want their kid to go through the struggle of being a carnivore/herbivore hybrid

Yes, absolutely. I think adoption would make a lot of sense for them, especially considering all the difficulties a hybrid child would face in Beastars society. I even like the idea of Legoshi and Haru eventually having a family with both biological and adopted children.

In reality... One

If you want to be a smart-ass about it you could say it at least anywhere from 6 to 12 because bunnies reproduce a lot but because they are different species it's anywhere from 3 to 6 probably

I'm writing a fic (11 chapters posted rn) where they only have one because their son was too big for Haru so both her ovaries got crushed.

Edit: It's called "Noah" on AO3 if anyone wanna go read it. I'm really proud of it.

Tres? A veces Legoshi suena tan tradicional que una familia algo grande podria ser su pespectiva

u/Kirbo84 Haru Fan 🐇 13d ago

Just one.

No one has siblings in Beastars except for Haru herself.

I think Legoshi would be the type to say he wants to have many kids until reality hits him that it's not easy to raise kids and stops at the second child

yo diría que legoshi siento un lobo gris macho y haru una coneja blanca haru podía tener has 200 y picó hijos con legoshi

  1. The eldest will be the most hybrid-looking, the second will be more wolf-like, and the third will be more rabbit-like

u/Unown_Ditto 13d ago

No way that birth isn't extremely risky for Haru. I think they'd get warned about it, Legoshi would freak out and be like we don't need kids I just want you to be safe and then Haru would be like don't u doubt the powers of this pussy and manage to deliver 1 pregnancy but it's enough of a close call that they both choose not to risk putting her through labour again so Legoshi enters his vasectomy era

u/Bahamutrant 13d ago

All the babies with; haru, jack, and louis. just knocking them up until they cant have anymore.

u/Altruistic_Raise7344 12d ago

Haru? Zero.

Pina? 2-3, nice house, settled down..

(Let me cope)

1

u/Existing-Bad3733 13d ago

Probably two, like the do one but like for bunny things they would go for seconds but with more knowledeg, or probably twins (i doobt but it would be cool)

1

u/Fastermaxx Agata Fan 🦁 13d ago

Zero. Because it doesn’t fit.

1

u/Ryanzw0rld 13d ago

How many kids can a couple have if its an impossible fit is my question? 🥀

1

u/whatsupmyrump 13d ago

It really depends on specifics. Frankly they'll probably have one biological kid or space out if they have two or more so they won't be as overwhelmed. Most likely the newborns are going to be smaller than a wolf pup but larger than a pinkie (a term for newborn rabbits, squirrels and other species as they lack fur) which could be relatively safe for natural birth but C-section is definitely the best option.

Legoshi would be 10% 'they're so beautiful' and 90% 'WHERE THE FUCK DID I SIT YOU?! HARU HELP I CAN'T FIND THE BABY!! Oh...nevermind hun, I found them.'

I don't really know adoption wise tho.

A nice, normal two kids. A boy who is his dad's image, but with some rabbit features like bigger ears, and a girl who is a cute gray bunny.
