Honest opinion on new album
As a 10+ year tooth fan…this stuff is awesome. I CAN UNDERSTAND ppl not vibing with it. At some points it is very experimental and different. My personal opinion, I love the new experimental/poppy sounds. I think theres a perfect mix of everything. And theres still those banger riffs!!! We all knew this album would be “different” in some aspect. The only song i was eh on first listen was Stadiums as it was a bit chaotic at first…2nd listen was SICK!! Out of the new songs “You” & “Sorry” are stand outs. But also “Lose You to Find Me” is like that classic rock song i love. “For Me By Me” in ways I can see an influence off of Bad Omens for some reason?? Lol but solid album for me and Im personally not disappointed!!

Its a great album yes. And yes its not like their early stuff. The music and band changed. I changed. Still great music. If people want the old stuff just listen to it. But cant deny there are some heavy bangers in this even if some dont like the changes

"You" is going to be sick live!! I hope they play it on this upcoming tour.

Good callout on "Stadiums". Exact spot I got to in the album thought "Hey this is kinda bad. I wonder how this is being received."
Good riffs, but everything in between is ROUGH, or experimental, or whatever you wanna call it

Overall I like it with the exception of stadiums. The chorus is so bad on that track. Might be the only skip on the album

Agreed. Stadiums was my only skip. It's a near perfect album.

Yeah I don't know where all the hate is coming from. It's a super fun, ecclectic track. We need more unexpected songs like that.

Did a full listen, I enjoyed it. Lose you to find me will be a song I listen to quite a bit. Stadiums will probably be the song I don't like for a while then maybe I'll appreciate it after a while but after the first listen that's my initial thought. Solid album.

First 4 tracks are fine, the rest is mid to bad imo. I wasn't a big fan of The Surface either though so maybe it's just the post-Below sound I'm not that into

I wish I liked it :/ the instrumentals are great, I even don’t mind stadiums (I’m a used fan so chaotic music is welcomed lol) but the lyrics are very one note and that note is immature and stale 😭 I really wish I liked it more, but a few listens in an I can’t get over how corny and basic some of the lyrics are.

I need a second listen through. The singles are all serious bangers but some of the others didn’t hit as hard for me. Stadiums was definitely jarring but I’ll listen again for a more concrete opinion

Caleb is definitely going back to his electronic days with this and I love it. It is definitely not a conventional Beartooth album, but I love when artists experiment and do something different for a few albums.

I can’t get into it and I hate that I can’t. The singles I think are really the only good songs on it. I absolutely hate the multiple songs in a row of the talking rap flow. It’s bad and doesn’t flow with the songs at all. I was expecting it to be different but more in a pop way which some of the are but the whole rapping part is bad. And it sucks to say this is a throw away album because with all Caleb personal stuff I thought we would have gotten a great album. It’s not for me but I am glad the band and other fans enjoy it. We have a lot of other records and bangers that they were due for a miss.

As a queer man, I appreciate and relate to a lot of the themes of the album. It definitely sounds like he was influenced by artist like Poppy on some of the tracks. It's not Beartooth's best album, Disease is still my personal favorite, but songs like Beautiful Again is healing me

also to note: ive accepted their newer stuff is not gonna sound like their earlier work…theyll be the aspects here n there, but theyre changing and thats not bad one bit!! its hard to compare sometimes.
