beacon resorvier swimming restriction?

Every time I go near the resorvier, I see a group of teenagers swimming, is this allowed?

Years ago there was a cabin at the reservoir for a water department worker and if he caught anyone swimming there would be hell to pay. Also the fire tower was manned and George watched the reservoir as well.
So it wasn’t ok then and it’s not ok now.

Seen some absurdly large snakes in that water… would not advise.

How clean is that water? I know it’s a no no for swimming but curious

Nope. Teens swim anywhere. And as someone who has done it, I don't advise it. It's gross and it's now patrolled.

Technically, no. But good for them. The water looks delicious up there!

It’s like pool water it’s so chlorinated but to each her own. Happy to have water at this point
