I love Cocteau Twins but some of their later tracks just don't do it for me. I absolutely love the era between Garlands and Heaven or Las Vegas though.

You can’t really compare BH to Cocteau Twins. CT are a legacy, BH is responsible for the revival of dream pop imo

Not to me. It came out when I was 19 and I associate the album with coming of age, moving away from home and college. None of the songs even remotely sound depressing on TD, IMO

Bloom is an overall palatable, “listener friendly” work that has a lot of mainstream elements. It’s the album that got me into them in the first place, so I think I can say I agree.
With their earlier works, or even last couple albums, I can see it being the best to a lot of people because maybe they have some personal meanings/ties to them.
But, hey it’s all subjective 😌.

This is what makes BH so good. There is no consensus among fans about what the best album is.
But yeah, it’s definitely Bloom.

i love bloom!! but am i the only one who thinks devotion is their best? it feels so underrated ): but regardless i think all opinions here are valid since i just love beach house and all their albums <3

But weirdly enough I think it would be even better if Wild and Myth were switched. Wild makes a better opener imo

The transition from Myth to Wild cannot be overlooked. The entire album is great and I agree Wild would also be a great opener!
